Feds pour $32 million more into beleaguered solar industry

• First thought, without even reading any details:

  Nowadays, $32 mil into an entire industry is diddy-squat. A business with a market cap of 32 mil is a small business. So what are they really doing?

  Well $32 mil to a person or three, or four, amounts to a decent chunk of change. Especially when you're a failed businessman.

  That's my bet on what is really happening there.

  • $32 million isn't squat when you look at the $150 billion already wasted on green projects. Solyndra and Abound Solar, both bankrupt and out of business, got almost $1 billion themselves and neither survived. I think we all know where the money went and it wasn't back to the taxpayers.

    • I didn't mean to imply that they didn't piss away huge sums of money down the green energy rat-hole. Just that this particular expenditure amounts to so little in the big picture that no one can possibly think that it's for "the industry". It's obviously a last-ditch payday to donors and pals.

• Like trying to fill the outhouse basement with dollar bills....

  • They're already on the toilet paper roll. That's the next logical step.
