• LESSONS IN SOCIALISM

  When items are sent to someone by mail especially from Europe or the United States, The Government wants in on it. Even if the item is personal and for personal use (not for sale/re-sale), even if the person is not a business owner nor entity, The Government wants to MAKE SURE that the child citizen does not enrich him/herself with this item OR that if The Citizen does get some monetary good out of this item, that The Government gets its cut since certainly The Citizen will not pay taxes on the POSSIBLE sale of this item/or use of the item for monetary enrichment purposes. Since The Government cannot trust The Citizen to love The Government enough to pay taxes on a possible sale or monetary enrichment endevour (even if there is no evidence that is the purpose of the item), The Government believes itself entitled to up to 100% of the retail cost of the item (in some cases over 100%) in taxes and fees as The Government commands in order for The Government to no loose out on The Citizen's possible greed.

  In summary: The children Citizens of the State are not allowed to have anything that could make their lives better or richer even if that is not even their plan and the item sent to them by a relative is just a gift for personal use. The Citizens are to be pre-emptively taxed just in case The Citizens are greedy and not give The Government their well deserved cut if the item is used for monetary gain by The Citizen. The Citizens are complacent and do not complain about this, so they find other ways (sometimes complicated and still very expensive in some cases) to get the items or decide not to have the item at all and leave the item to either be returned to the person that sent it or abandon it in the hands of the State so the State can commander it for its use.

  Socialism... it stamps out greed by punishing property and possible desires to improve one's life through business initiatives. If no such desire was there, it doesn't matter, what's important is that citizens aren't allowed to have nice gifts or to be greedy. YaY!

• Looks like socialism is going to work here just like it does everywhere else. All but a very tiny percentage of people will be equally miserable....then the mass deaths start.

• This government is nothing more then a bunch of fucking thieves. Spend your whole life paying taxes into a system that steals everything you own should you get sick. Meanwhile the leaches get it for free, just by refusing to work in the first place.

    • That's it, right there. If a person has no backbone, no pride, no self respect, the government will take care of them. Then they'll breed, bring their offspring up the same way, and in a few generations, the government has an easy to control population.

• So far I'm pretty unaffected. Our insurance co told us after the 1st the rates go up 5% and I keep what i have. I wonder what will happen when they start screwing with the businesses. I am glad I got my cancer taken care of before this cluster starts with us. Others aren't so lucky.
