Hasn't this been going on since bush put in Patriot Act? I think it's a 4th amendment issue that they're arguing for and that was what the ruling was based on. Slippery slope issue IMO. Doubt the ruling will stand
I knew the PA was a bad idea the moment I realized that in the hands of a bad government it would only expand and prove detrimental to the average citizen.
Like that's going to stop these communist thugs, I'm sure Holder's department of injustice will just ignore this ruling.
Yup. Holder will ignore it and start an investigation so no information can be used about the program.
Obama will complain that a few right wing tea party judges are blocking our security to demonize those opposing this.
The GOP will appoint a commettee to talk about the problem and then fade into the background.
Just repeat these steps for any serious issue and you can write the news before it occurs, week after week.

This gives the government a chance to appeal his injunction before he rules that the NSA must stop gathering metadata without a warrant.
