    • I have a hard time imagining Meatshell running around on a tennis court for ANY length of time. My X was semi-pro and I couldn't keep up with her and I played several exhausting sports. I was in top shape. Meatshell is tagged with a truck bumper attached above her thighs. You'll NEVER see her in fitted clothes from the waste down--EVER. LOOOSE ones only. Because she looks like she needs a long Jenny Craig bootcamp. She's BIG BOOTY FAT!

But apparently she plays well enough for the likes of Serena Williams and John McEnroe, who were glad to share a court with her as part of her "Let's Move" initiative. She said it twice so she wasn't misspeaking or misquoted. They stuck a sock in her mouth and told her to speak about childhood obesity. She dutifully complied. When hubby was running for U.S. Senate she wrote a fundraising letter asking people to come to a luncheon or else a Republican elected Senator from Illinois might make partial-birth abortion illegal. Despicable. If she were a conservative the media would be all over her patient-dumping scandal.

        Sounds like somebody's been combing the right wing gossip rags, in search of things to b*tch about. And had to settle for a bunch of ridiculous distortions, instead of facts.

        I'm still waiting for you to produce evidence that the alleged U of C EMTALA violation (the kid with the lacerated lip) occurred because Michelle Obama MADE the ER doctor discharge the patient, against his and other ER doctors' clinical judgment, to save the hospital money.

        So far, none of you have produced a scrap of evidence that Obama even knew about the case when it occurred, or that, having known about it, she expressed a clinical opinion on the doctor's responsibility to the patient. That's because you're so busy running your mouths, that it doesn't seem to have occurred to you that (1) ER doctors don't take treatment orders from nonclinical personnel, no matter how high up the administrative ladder; (2) Michelle Obama wouldn't even have known about this case, unless someone had had reason to bring it to her attention. HIPAA laws (the violation of which can carry huge penalties, including prompt termination) would have prevented her from accessing information about this patient, unless it had something direct to do with her job responsibilities.

        But, hey, when you don't have any real reason to hate this woman (none that you've got the guts to admit to, anyway), you have to trot out any bogus excuses you can come up with. And this one is about as bogus as you can get. ;)

Speaking of which, I don't really get around on the internet, besides this, huffingtonpost, facebook, zerohedge, and us.army.mil, so I decided to finally go to dailykos.com as you guys always reference to. I made an account, and began skimming blogs. I came across one that stated rich people had paid the least amount proportionally across classes over the last 15 years. I proceeded to spend about an hour dissecting the blog's assumed facts, and referenced CBO statistics every time. I loaded up a 2 page essay going against everything in the blog post, and 34 minutes later, I am getting a 404 on the webpage. I got on my wife's laptop. My post is no longer there. I try to log in. It tells me I need to email help. Gotta love them liberals.

      But that's nothing new. Republicans have been b*tching about Democratic First Ladies for the past century. They hated Hillary Clinton like poison, until Obama won the DNC nomination for president----then, all of a sudden, that hatred got transferred to Michelle Obama. Go figure, huh?

Back then, sexual infidelity was (rightly) considered a private family matter, and political opponents left it alone. All that changed in the nineties, when the GOP, desperate to discredit a popular and effective Democratic president, took to using private family matters as very expensive political weapons.

            As for your accusation that Kennedy was abusing drugs: where's your evidence, and why are you bringing it up now, 48 years after his death? Trying to make excuses for your own choice to trash our current First Lady at every opportunity?

Interestingly, we Democrats didn't trash her for developing a dependency to pain medication, as you Republicans would most certainly have done, if she'd been a liberal. I, for one, thought she was great for sharing her story, and using her own experience to push for better addictions treatment.

            Wrong again. In fact, many Democrats rather liked her when they first saw her on TV, as she seemed down-to-earth and homely. (I remember her saying that the First Lady she most wished to emulate was Bess Truman.) My (liberal) MIL, for example, LOVED the fact that she wasn't ashamed to look her age.

            Only after she made those really insensitive remarks about the Katrina victims, and bothering her "beautiful" mind" by talk about body bags, did the public begin to see her as cold and unpleasant.

            Nancy Reagan messed up with her insensitive remarks about the Carters taking too long to vacate the White House. And, let's face it, the fact that most of the Reagan children were estranged from their parents back then didn't reflect well on her maternal skills. But she did redeem herself a great deal, when the story came out years later, how hard she'd worked to conceal Reagan's cognitive problems from the public during his second term. In fact, I haven't seen a negative remark about her from a liberal for a very long time.
