First openly gay House Speaker resigns after FBI raid. For four years, almost every headline about this guy started out with the words, “First openly gay House Speaker.” Now the headline simply says, “Gordon Fox resigns as House speaker…” Suddenly, sexual preference (and political party) is irrelevant.

Folks, this is just another day in Rhode Island. This is the state where Providence's Mayor Buddy Cianci spent part of his term running the city from the state pen.
He now has a radio show.

When the folks from the bureau come knocking, its not a good thing to have happen. So now that the openly gay speaker is in deep shit, he is no longer wanted by the left. Well, guess when he gets that new special number from the federal system, he can then be just another one of the "ladies" on the block.
Stinkfoot by leaving out the fact that he was a democrat, the press told everyone that he was a democrat if the readers were smart enough to read between the lines. The head line should read. "Openly gay democrat speaker has had his office raid by the FBI for what????"
But that's the rub- in general we are being engineered to NOT be smart enough to read between the lines. I'd wager that if someone actually read the article and were asked about Fox's affiliation, most would say Republican. That I believe to be intended when the article goes so far as to mention that the previous politicians in the corruption series were an Independent and Republican, respectively. Nothing- zip- nada about Fox being Demoncrat Democrap Democrat.
The story was carried by the local CBS station and while the report on the web page made no mention of Fox's party affiliation it DID include the following:
"Fox is just the latest politician to be wrapped up in a criminal investigation in Rhode Island, a state with a long history of elected officials getting into trouble with the law. Former Independent Providence Mayor Buddy Cianci, one of the longest-serving mayors in U.S. history, went to prison in 2002 for racketeering conspiracy after a federal probe found he presided over widespread corruption in office. Former Republican Gov. Edward DiPrete went to prison in the 1990s after admitting he took bribes while in office."
So- while it was not important enough to include the FACT that Fox is a Democrat, it was considered important to include the affiliation of the Republican and Independent.
I'm just surprised that they didn't try to tie him to FOX News, since they both have the same name!
With a track record like this, me thinks this clown could end up being the last openly Gay House Speaker. Wouldn't it be nice if they found some goods on Bwanry Fwank, and Hairy Reid while they were at it.
Mmm...the story says no officials would talk about what they are investigating; but last week a Democratic Illinois State Senator resigned after the feds raided his home and office looking for CHILD PORNOGRAPHY!!! I wonder if both of them were trading videos with Harry Reid.
In the comments below the first story I read, the favorite guess was child pornography. It must be something pretty serious to make him resign before charges are even filed.
Child porn was my first thought, followed by pictures on his office computer of him getting humped by a horse, making for a hostile workplace environment.
Funny how the left loves to condemn a sex scandal, as long as it's someone on the right. I doubt we will hear anything more about this one, after all, he's a Dumbocrat, so what he does in his private life is A-OK with them, and by private life, I mean anything he does that isn't on camera.
Meanwhile, since the FBI works for Eric Holder, one can't help wondering if this investigation will be deep-sixed like the Pennsylvania AG just did. Personally, I have no faith in the rule of law anymore. None. Zippo. If you're a cop or a lawyer, I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be insulting, but the system has too many dirty crooks at the top to work.
