  That's what cops do in the real world when they are involved in a shooting.

• IMHO this is some idiot crackpot trying to troll for more readers of his stupid blog. Everything he has written here should be removed under order from the court for tainting the jury pool (more than it already is)

• And I tell you what; If someone was on top of me and I was on my back, I would not be just laying there. I would be rocking back and forth, up and down and any other which way, to get out from under Martin. In all of that wiggling, the gun could have been seen (by Martin) and also could have been grabbed by Zimmerman. Only someone who is unconscious would just lay there flat on their back.

  • Watching MMA for a minute will tell you that being on your back doesn't mean the fight is over. There's a lot of stuff that happens after one man is on his back, and keeping a grown man flat on his back is next to impossible.

• I am very unimpressed with the linked column. The guy who wrote it isn't a forensics expert, just a political blogger, and yet he's making definitive statements on subjects about which he has no particular expertise. It's irresponsible and worthless.

  Specifically, he's using static analysis when anybody who ever got in a fight knows damn well nothing stays particularly static in a fight. A guy on his back getting pummeled doesn't stay in one position - he rolls and moves to the best of his ability trying to avoid the hits. Duh. And the guy on top - again, anybody who's ever been in a fight knows this - will eventually get tired and rise up a little for a break and to assess the damage he's done. Even Mohammad Ali couldn't punch nonstop for long - you get winded and with no boxing gloves your hands will quickly start aching. So saying definitively that Zimmerman could not get to his gun is just plain stupid.

• How is any jury going to convict without any reasonable doubt given that the police found no case to answer after their own investigation. It was only political and black/white (before they found out he was Hispanic) that led to the 2nd Deg. charge...."if I had a son" etc. etc...that comment on it's own should be sufficient to shut down this kangaroo court. As a case in point, lets talk about the Benghazi video maker....still in jail for what?

  • This is not a criminal case anymore. It is one, in that George Zimmerman is on trial, but this is a political case now, & you can bet your ass that the MSM will really force the issue by saying that Zimmerman must be convicted or else urban America burns. I'll be interested to see how the Spanish media covers this story, since Zimmerman's family history is from Peru. I want to see if they roll over like the guilty white liberal pukes. It's time to tell professional racists like Jackson, Sharpton, Dyson, or Harris-Perry to stick it.

• I don't give two shits what a bunch of libtards say about what may/may not have happened. Zimmerman shot the only eye witness-there is no real evidence to say he murdered martin-but, all the evidence of Martin's extensive drug/alcohol use(destroyed liver, thc in system, drug drink he made/drank daily) is all I need-that with tweets of guns, weed, and his love of mma fighting. the kid was a bad kid-chose the wrong guy to try to rob. got what he deserved-period. zimmerman walks-no jury will convict on the bullshit "evidence" the prosecution has-further, the defense is going to move for dismissal based on prosecution withholding evidence that would have precluded the prosecution from moving forward in the first place.

  • The judge should have dismissed the case sua sponte, but you maybe right, after the trial starts double jeopardy is in play. Either way the State can appeal but may not have the juice to continue prosecuting a non-crime just to satisfy the race mongers.

  • That is provided this judge lets all that into evidence and so far I question she will.

• Emergency tech question. I don't know what happened, but can anybody point me in the right direction on where to look to adjust the sensitivity of a tracpad on a laptop. Swear you could breathe on it and it'll click. Control panel and internal "help" no joy, driving me crazy.

    • You fixed it! I don't have that version but it was close enough. This thing came with a wireless mouse too and that's all i could find. Touchpad was hiding in 'drivers' for some reason. T'anx C02.

• Study after study after study show that victims under stress and duress make the worst witnesses in the world. We can't pick apart Zimmerman's statement second by second as if it was fact. He almost certainly can't remember exactly what happened step by step. very few of us would be able to. Our minds and memory just don't WORK like that!

  To me it's a no-brainer. Zimmerman's head was bashed in, his nose was broken and the only injury on the little angel Trayvon were scraped knuckles from where he was pounding Zimmerman. Self defense. Stand your ground. Case closed. If he has been shot in the back from 10 feet away it would be a different story, but this is just splitting hairs. Zimmerman had every right to shoot the thug that was assaulting him, whether he was sitting on his chest or leaning over him.

  • That's about what I was thinking. Zimmerman, after getting his head bashed in, probably was lucky he could say he was in Florida afterwards.

    • I actually conducted a witness study in one of my forensic psychology classes and it is absolutely AMAZING what people remember, and how positive they are about what they saw, even when it is 100% wrong.
