Former NASA scientists, astronauts admonish agency on climate change position. They charge that NASA is relying too heavily on complex climate models while ignoring empirical evidence. Yeah, under the tired old way of doing things, science relied on empirical evidence instead of peer review, real thinking instead of group-think. But back then, legislators read the bills they were voting on, too. Those were the days, my friends.

Any rational NASA administrator would have fired Hansen and Schmidt years ago.
I believe that cultural acceptance of the premise that humans are responsible for climate change must be recognized and treated as an aberrant sociological behavior.
Actually, Ruben, I think we, as individuals, need to accept that as a culture we are dumb as a bag of hammers and will believe in any brand of snake oil as long as "smart people" say it's good for us.
It's the individuals who are AGW apostates. Most "groups" are still in the green tank, so to speak.
