Just because Air America has gone belly up and just because conservatives are on the ascendancy and just because Fox has huge ratings, that’s no reason to think things are ok. The libs are always out there dangling the threat of the Fairness Doctrine over conservatives’ heads.

Its not that liberals cant put together a decent show...look at all the stuff that comes out of hollywood, some of it is actually entertaining.
The problem is that liberalism just doesn't hold up well to scrutiny. Radio hosts cant rationally discuss why liberalism succeeds and conservatism fails for three hours because its just not true.
The only thing they can do is argue, denigrate, lie, obfuscate, smear, mock and feign outrage. After a few shows it just becomes pointless.
The problem with the Hollywood analogy is that process is controlled from start to finish. Yes it's slick and well packaged, but like Obama, when the shlock hits the streets, all the left-wing pap loses money big time because the unwashed masses still see through the BS.

As Beck once said something like Once rest of Media start asking the hard questions and not what dress or suit the Obamas are wearing. They might start getting ratings.
Look at Fox when Bush was in office. Not the greatest ratings. Fox is asking qutions that people want to know.
So when the Media can see what people want to know and not we can watch on "E" then maybe can they can start getting ratings. It will come down to their bottom line.
