The parents should be at ever school board meeting until there's a ruling to prevent such "field" trips from happening ever again. What was on the permission slip when it had to be signed? Or was the permission slip waved for this one?
As for the optional work to be done, what a load of crap. The parent should pull up every single quote from the koran about taxing, converting or killing the infidels. Islam is a tortuous religion to both believers and non believers. Ask the Christians in such peace loving countries like Egypt, Syria, Libya and other muslim ruled countries.
To top it off, the student should've listed all of the child molesters actions and deeds. Then ask the orginazer of the trip to defend those actions and deeds.
Again,I am not against the trips but the parents need todiscuss ALL trips, and be sure they are getting the whole story as Kimmy noted. You bring up an interesting question. What WAS on the permission slips, and why weren't the parents questioning the trips beforehand?
I never have and never will, allow my kids to attend public schools.
Unfortunately that was all I could afford. They all would have been better off in a small private school, but at least the 7 years of band kept them out of trouble.
I don't feel the trips themselves were a problem. As part ofa religions of the world class we attended several different houses of worshup. My issue usthe discussion of the trip, its impressions onthe students, etc. If the schiol won't do ut, the parents shoyld. Just luke the statements in the reference they were given to contrast the 3 religions. Let the child see the biases. This is how you teaxch critical thinking, not just swallowing everything put before you.
I don't think that all the story is being told though. Will they tell the kids: "Yeah and Mohammed married a six year old girl and couldn't wait any longer and had sex with her at 9 and he was in his 50's (I think he was)" "Yeah and Mohammed essentially stole his stepson's inheritance and took away his wife and that has lead to orphans essentially being barred from being adopted and treated as sub human citizens" "Yeah and you know wherever Mohammed went, he essentially either exterminated or subjugated through violence and heavy taxation the people there and as we can see many muslim terrorists continue that tradition." Yeah I don't think that is being said. So I don't believe that it is a fair "comparison" trip. All in all these trips should not be done to any house of worship and those instructions and comparisons should be left to the parents alone.

*sighs* People don't want to listen to me when I tell them these things. There are concerted efforts to control our children and teach them to submit to Islam. If killing the grown ups that won't submit is part of the plan, at least you have the kids growing up into slaves. People just need to understand one thing about Islam: It is about submission through any means possible. Once Islam takes over government, citizens are doomed to be forced into submission and with the power of government it will be difficult to avoid it, unless the citizens are heavily armed and willing to die for their freedoms. That is EXACTLY what the Forefathers did and put in the Constitution. What are we doing electing people that put the information out there that it is okay to embrace Islam AT THE EXCLUSION of other religions? We need to learn history we are being taken over and people are being too stupid right now.
Now if I remember correctly, for tax purposes a house of worship is considered a church. Now if a Mooslem house of worship is considered to be something else, should they also lose their tax exempt status?
I was thinking along the same lines, that means they are not a church just a wacko firm that lobbies on behalf of wife beaters and pedophiles.... Wonder if the IRS is gonna go after them now?
