  Yes, Mitt will win big! The White House will be relocated to Salt Lake City! All government employees will have to be Mormon and wear special underwear! Glen Beck will be made Deacon of Propaganda! New IRS forms will let you claim deductions for up to 10 wives, 50 children and 10 trailer homes! There will be a Mormon Temple in every city subsidized by the federal government. The Book of the Mormon will be required reading in every school!

• I'd like to see this broken down to districts. I'm afraid that we wouldn't be quite so optimistic. The most populous areas in the country are also the most Progressive. We can only hope that whichever one of the three arthropods that the Republican elite decide to put against Barry will be able to draw the spineless middle to the polls. I believe that the middle has abandoned O., but will they bother to vote at all. I, for one, am sick of voting against a candidate as opposed to voting for one. I'll be at the poll, but I'll be there intoxicated and holding my nose.

• With it looking like Romney is going to get the nomination, is this really any good? Looking at Romney's record and Obama's record....ehh....there's not much difference there. Not good. Not good at all.

    • I agree, he's not the best, but as they say, When life gives you lemons, have a LemonParty, or something like that. Honestly, I'm not sure if I would prefer Newt as pres or not, but I really don't believe he can do it. There's been a lot of comparisons to Newt's more rigorous conservative stance and comparison's to Reagan's positions, but I'm sorry, Newt aint no Reagan. Ronnie's election turned a helluvalot on his personal appeal, about which books could be written, and have been. Although Newt may be ideologically more better than Mitt, he just does not have Reagan's charm and personality, and I do not think he can win the general. There is just too much at stake this time around. I'd rather make do with a second or third rate Republican, who will at least have a strong conservative base to hold his feet to the fire than another 4 years of Sock Puppet. Yes folks, there really, really IS a difference.

      • Right. Even Dr. Paul. Frankly I'd feel better with him than Romney but I doubt he could make the rate needed, especially with the biggest campaign tool solidly against him. While the media is bad for any Republican, certain ones get worse treatment. Newt might be able to stand on his own in debates and I like his politics better than Mittens, again, media hammer would never stop pounding him and the commies would take it all the way home. Santorum is dan savage's hidden desire. The media would eat him alive.

        So we probably get rombama. The importance of the lower houses is being overlooked and underplayed by the medias. If there were R majorities and a R president the damage would likely slow, hell, might even reverse a little.

        We've got little chance of retaining our Republic if the media continues to control so many idiots.

• It ain't over until it's over. Obama may behind in the polls but the election is still 10 months away and he's got a huge campaign war chest, lots of union slush fund money and the MSM in his back pocket. Too, the Republicans can still blow it, especially if the Romney-Gingrich rivalry gets even nastier and self-destructive. Hey guys, Obama is the real enemy.

  Note that California, New York and Illinois and Michigan are solid blue states yet they have the worst economies among the 50 (or 57) states. These knuckleheads will vote for Obama against their real interests.

  My own state of Wisconsin may yet go red.

    • I've predicted elsewhere on IHTM that the coming Presidential election will be the dirtiest in American history---especially if Obama remains behind in the polls. The race card will be played and replayed, the Occubots will be unleashed, the unions will spend more money (and threaten more people) than ever before, ABC, CBS,NBC and CNN will shill for The One. I fully expect street violence. Get ready, we can't let ourselves be intimidated.

      • My money is on E Hubbard here, O butthead hasn't even begun to tap his billion dollar war chest. Republicans saying it's not who is best, it's who has more money available. Romney is a most unimpressive candidate but I do think he has a chance, it won't be Romney won, it'll be that O butthead lost due to the prevailing disgust for him by the electorate. If you don't love OB your a racist, way to much hate from the party of love and tolerance, this will be a memorable race in it's ugliness and I hope we never forget what we let happen in 2008, lest we let it happen again.

        • And I my pen-cam, not that something like that would have much of an effect in the inter city. Most of the Liberal Bastions of Stupidity will still vote for "Dear Leader", hell I'd bet they vote for him even after they impeached him. And should he lose, I'm sure some of the Flash Mob Crowd would be inspired to riot.

        • If the 2012 election looks like it's going to be close, which will probably happen, I think there will be threats of riots if Obama loses. Before the O.J. Simpson jury came in in 1994, law enforcement was getting ready for riots in large cities if he was found guilty. I think there will be riots if Obama loses. Won't change my vote, but it might swing a few votes.
