NBC-U is owned by Comcast they, & they will just raise your rates for TV/internet/phone bills. GE still owns about 40%, & they don't pay taxes. I hope Zimmerman gets paid, & in the high 8 figures. But whatever he's paid won't don't them or the crooked hosts on NBC or MSNBC, & their bosses.
One of the main reasons I switched from Comcast several years ago. They can go broke too for all I care. In fact I do care, a lot. I will care if they don't go broke.
Most people are not so principaled as to walk away from anything. Most take what they get, like it or not. If they live in rental properties, often cable is the only option, & only 1 company. If a building says no satelite dishes, your screwed. Those cable companies are also how most folks get thier internet & home phone if they have one. Don't grt me wrong, I would love to see it happen, but I ain't holding my breath waiting for that to happen.
There are ways to get rid of comcast. Unfortunately they currently require either the same cost or the personal commitment to give up cable. If the alternative companies were to lower their rates significantly a LOT of people would switch. We have it because of the internet. There is no alternative for hi-speed where we live. But we have already decided that internet connection is a top priority when we get our next house. I can live with 2.5 bathrooms instead of 3.5, but I CAN NOT stand comcast much longer!
