GE’s Immelt sours on Obama?

GE’s Immelt sours on Obama? “…he’s privately rooting for Mitt Romney to win the Republican nomination and defeat Obama in the fall.” Why only privately? GE gets subsidies for being “green”, tax breaks for creating jobs (in China) and everybody knows what the Chicago thug does to opponents (re: Gibson Guitar and the Koches.) But now, Jeff has been “outed” by Gasparino’s op-ed… at the very least, he’s got a lot of ‘splainin’ to do to his former bro, BO.

  • Part of me wonder if Axlerod cooked this up and Immelt agreed knowing that if Obama wins re-election the regime will be pleased at having been able to forward their populist pablum without the 800 pound GE gorilla leering at them . . . and if Mitt wins then just maybe Romney will be grateful and keep the corporate welfare coming. Either way this guy is a colossal douche and if we had a free market it would put him in the soup line.

  • Immelt's doubts and regrets won't stop him from going to the federal government for more handouts for GE. Immelt is damaged goods.

  • Well Mr. Immelt I would like to take this opportunity to personally say "Thank You" for supporting our current President, recieving all the free tax money you could get, and by proxy helping to make all our lives more difficult. Now, go away.

Maybe, just maybe, if you drop the "green technology" BS and stop taking handouts, I will be for happy for your "change of heart". Its your move, RINO.

  • Immelt appears to be an opportunistic snake.

I think our new republican president and our new republican congress should teach Immelt a lesson. Let's see GE pay their fair share in the tax arena, and let's cut off all of the green incentives. Let them develop green at their on risk.

  • Better a late, secret conversion than none at all, I suppose. Even better if he grows back a pair, comes out of the closet, and starts denouncing Baloneyus Caesar before the elections.

    • GE's hip-deep in the wind farm industry and Immelt has to unload their share before he can come out with new change he can believe in.
