• The truck was probably driven by one of Obama's distant kin...You know, it's hard to drive a big 'ol truck and chew gum at the same time.

• I hope it's photoshopped. A story like this makes me sick. I would end up in prison for awarding that driver for his stupidity.

  • No, it's a real story. Happened in South Africa. The linked article does mention the similarity to Hangover.

• An awful story. Giraffes are beautiful animals, & if you have looked at 1 eye to eye, you would know that. I did that at the Wisconsin Dells, they used to have a viewing platform that I did a few years ago...

  • I used to be an electrician at the Six Flags park in Jackson NJ. I got to meet many of the safe animals in the Safari Park. Giraffes are really beautiful and sweet animals. The transporter should be charged in this incident, and he should have preplanned his route before taking them anywhere. There are so many low bridges in the US, that he is most certainly at fault for being negligent and not checking his load height before starting his trip.

    • They are sweet, & they can be funny as well. They also very perceptive, as you see in this clip from Rotterdam. A zoo worker who was dying of cancer went to see the place 1 last time got an interesting good bye from the giraffes. They knew something was not right, & it's a sad yet inspiring video...

  • I drove through one of those plantation zoos where the animals are right outside your car and the giraffe stuck his head down through my sun roof and stuck out the longest tongue I've ever seen. Damn thing must have been ten feet long. No wonder the female giraffes walk around with a smile...

• Oh that's awful. In some cases, I'm willing to forego due process in favor of summary curbside execution.

• This story runs neck and neck with Biden's swimming escapades as the most unusual.
