Global Warming threatens Super Bowl. With the U.S. experiencing record low temps and another cold front on the way, the NFL is threatening to re-schedule the game. We say, “Dont wussy out, NFL! Here’s a better idea: gather up the six biggest-mouthed climate alarmists, strip them naked, and make them run a hundred-yard dash at half time. It’ll be a ratings bonanza.”

I want to see 4-6 inches of with, & a bit of wind to blow it around. Just a bit of a blizzard for all of the high rollers who get to attend Super Bowls rather then the fans.
Honestly Dany, I'm a fan, but wouldn't want to sit there freezing my ass off to watch the game.
Fair point, I went to a CFL game in Winnipeg, final week of the regular season & froze my ass off, But I enjoyed it. But please do tell me if anything has been romanticized more then "the frozen tundra of...". Football is played in crappy weather, & if the NFL wants to roll the dice with a game in an open air stadium in a cold weather climate, that's on the NFL & nobody else.
used to freeze my ass off watching the Bills back in the 80s & early 90s.. Kinda thought I hated it sometimes, back then, but good memories now

That's why I'm happy to watch it at home. Better seats, better view, warm and cozy, and MUCH cheaper beer and food!

Poppa-Trying to cut back on soda. But as for adult beverages, I like Smirnoff Ice, & I do enjoy a Mike's Hard Lemonade as well. Can't drink beer though, & I really don't miss it.
Yeah, minus the beer. That stuff tastes terrible. I can't even stand the smell of it. If I want alcohol, which isn't often, I drink mead.

If they had only consulted the proper green experts. Fans could have been mandated to arrive by EVs and pre-purchase carbon credits. Then when the game turned out cold and miserable it would just be weather, not AGW, and you can feel good.

Having grown up in NJ, I could have told them that Feb is the coldest month of the year in NJ and the wind screams! That stadium is notorious for wind on a nice day. Scheduling the Super Bowl in an open stadium is plain stupid.
I hope a blizzard blows in on the game. Sorry, i just don't see the logic of playing the championship game in an outdoor stadium, on the east coast, in February. Dumb decisions deserve punishment. I also hope they never get another big game like this in the future. 1.6 billion spent on a non-domed stadium? The planners were aware of the winters up there, right?
These planners are idiots. Why build a stadium there, after all, we were assured that all of NYC would be under water by now. Unfortunately, it didnt happen.

I drove by there one time on the way from Newark Airport. One thing I liked is I was in the fast lane all the way and made what I was told was a 2 hour drive in 1 hour.
