is this one of those "can't see the forest for the trees" the representative confronting the ranger is the direct cause of the shutdown (political games) in the first place, if it were not for congress gross ineptitude, the failure to bring froth a budget in the last six years (another glaring failure of the socks puppets administration) this shut down is suppose to show the public how valuable the government is (no endless spending and we will shut down what effects you most)
has anyone seen if the tens of millions have stopped to the illegals (housing, medical, food, education... or the tens of billions to 152 different foreign countries (many of which have sworn to destroy us)

Many bills, budgets, and resolutions from the house are sitting on Reid's desk with no vote because they do not give the democratic senate what they want, unlimited spending.
The problem is on the left not the right. The senate under evil Harry gReid and Satan spawn Obama. The democrats in the senate have not put a budget to be voted on for over 4 years. This year they did but it was so far away from the HOR that it didn't go to conference.
Obama's FY 2014 budget: $5,000 billion +/-
gReid's FY 2014 budget: $4,300 billion+/-
HOR's FY 2014 budget: $3,200 billion+/-
And you know how gReid negotiates his heart out.
Even when the disgusting Nanzi Pelosi ran the HOR there were no budgets except under Bush. Even then Nanzi and gReid delayed the FY 2009 budget until King Barky was the POSOTUS. That also means that 2009 is all Obama's and not Bush as the media would have you believe.

It all boils down to too many depending on too big a government. Obama wants everyone to feel the pain of restricting government services even if more taxpayer money is spent than normal to accomplish it. Obama already backs a plan to give furloughed workers back pay. It's all a show of force. See what happens when you mess with Obama's Government.
I hate to see this. NPS Rangers are some of the most dedicated, knowledgeable and unappreciated people in the country. I suspect they would tend to lean politically left due to environmental concerns. Still, I've yet to meet one that did not seem to be happy to be at work, providing courteous answers and advice in a professional manner. I think she got put in a shi##y position and her answer might be taken out of context. or she's just a douche...
You're exactly right about the rank and file Mgap. (With one small caveat, Nevada Barr and gloBull warming) It's the horde of far left weasels that have spent the last 40 years infesting the policy making ranks (bureaucrats) of all these agencies that are the problem.

Exactly. At some point people should say no to unjust crap even if it means a danger to their jobs and in all truth here, government workers usually can't be fired just like that.
Fun Fact: A government worker is more likely to die at the job (on site) than to be fired from the government job.

That's a fact. I worked for the Veterans Administration a few years after getting out of the army. It was mentioned, partly in jest, a few times that it takes an act of congress to get fired from a government job.
