  • They guy has a properly executed deed proving ownership. If this was "always" federal land, I demand to see the paperwork that proves Federal ownership, not only of the land everyone imo ws a b out, but the gadditional land the governmwnt is now claiming. It should includecall thesurvey maps, etc. Given that Texas has only been a state for around 150 years, and the rancher's mily has owned it for generations, I suspect thevFederal government can't producevany of those documents.

  • "the process for determining what happens to the disputed land is lengthy and complex" and I have no doubt that it always ends in favor of the feds.

  • Am I the only one who has noticed that these massive land grabs have accelerated under Quagmire? Also the way the EPA has determined that any body of water on your property is under their control. Nice knowing the government can grab your property for having an unregulated mud puddle on it.

        Charities will be direct donations, and of my own choosing.

        • LOL that is hilarious because I would do a mixture of not being easily accessible while at the same time being pretty active in the real world. I will live it up (responsibly and conservatively) while getting my family (and others) out of poverty through proper use of capitalism. However, I won't be easily accessible either, I will do A LOT of background/shadow work/plays. Things will get done, but nobody needs to know I did them or was involved.

    • Then a Republican or Independent President should have gotten Congress to act upon these issues a long time ago so there would have been no disputes... This is a serious problem!

    • By law, the government isn't allowed to own as much land as they already claim, so why do they need more? What do they have against ranchers that feed us?
      This is why those guys are holding the building on the Federal Wildlife Refuge in Oregon.

      • Actually, they are protesting a neighbor being charged with starting a fire that travelled to public lands. The don't seem to prosecute people responsible for huge forest fires, so why these 2?

        • The main point is the two had already been to court, sentenced then served their time. A federal prosecutor got his panties in a twist and decided to charge the Hammonds again and found a liberal dipwad for a judge to go along with him. Now they are back in prison, serving a second sentence for the same crime they already served a sentence for. Any way you look at it this is wrong and it is the federal governments doing.

      • Ok...okay so this is what I wanted to know... The Federal Government is not entitled to land... or at least not to an extravagant amount so indeed why are they doing this? I don't believe in this nonsense that the land was ALWAYS federal just not managed and now they are looking into it... what are they going to do with that land ESPECIALLY since they shouldn't be having it in the first place?
