Can't wait until all these hipsters who thought Quagmire was cool find out what he really meant by "redistribute".
Oh Lord, talk about a Ponzi scheme. Look at Oregon's #s there, ↑55%. Then check this out
http://www.conservativeintel.com/2013/10/18/are-they-signing-up-for-obamacare-or-for-medicaid/
"In Oregon, that 56,000 number you’re hearing today is all Medicaid. Their online exchange doesn’t even work yet. The state bulked up its Medicaid rolls by targeting food stamp recipients. So great, those folks have some kind of insurance (whether or not a doctor will see them), but it tells us nothing about the private health insurance exchanges — the middle class version of Obamacare — or how they’re going to fare." [mine]
Check out the article when you have the stomach for it, enough to make me x-out the news and bop over to I Can Has Cheezburger? for the rest of the night.
[edit] Oh, forgot this,
"...Although it isn’t completely clear from their confusing presentation of the numbers, it appears they have as many as 25,000 exchange applicants in all, if you include people who have applied but haven’t paid."
Read a couple weeks ago there is no mechanism at all in place to deal with people who miss a premium payment or let their coverage lapse. None. Cool ain't it?
And this is all they had to do. Instead of this bulky, horrible, Obamacare, they could have just offered Medicaid to those with no insurance. Making people pay according to their income. It would have then covered everyone, not screwed up everyone else's insurance, and probably cost us all much less.
Why, Poopajoe, you've just described SOCIALIZED MEDICINE as your ideal for American health care. I'm proud of you! Who knew there was an ultraliberal under that pile of right wing cliches and mindless talking points? ;>)
Wrong.
Some people will never understand sarcasm.
OK, where's the $300 million a year in new Medicaid expenditures Oregon has next year come from?
The same place all the money for Obamacare comes from, the unending coffers of the goobermint! :-D
So what will happen when only people with pre-existing conditions apply?
They will be allowed to keep their condition. I've never seen a health insurance policy yet that guaranteed you would get well. When I do, I might become interested in buying health insurance.
So if you like your condition you can keep it?
Hell, under Obama-care, you can keep your condition even if you DON'T like it.
You might not even have the choice. Kinda like something I just heard about today. In the Obamacare law, breastfeeding is mandated. You can't even make that choice for yourself?
Talk about a war on women!
And are they going to educate doctors on breastfeeding so that their orders don't screw up the process?
Of course. Obamacare is a licence to steal, redistribute and to siphon off monies for leftists "organizations" that help in the heist.
Just more corny capitalism and punishing those who feel that quagmire is an utter disgrace and oppose him and his agenda.
Right in line with the communist manifesto and his beliefs. So all you fools who voted for this bastard hope you are happy, especially come 1/1/14. Make sure the smelling salt is close by when you open your first pay check in January.
So all you fools who voted for this bastard hope you are happy
Actually, I'm surprised that there haven't been more prosecutions for voter fraud. With the conviction of Melowese Richardson in Ohio, you would have thought more states attorneys would have pursued this. I'm certain this wasn't an isolated incident. For example, in the '08 election, I went to the polls and had to wait in line much longer than I ever had before. In the '12 election, there was no line, yet there were only 2.23 million fewer votes cast nationwide in 2012.
131,313,820 in 2008
129,085,403 in 2012
I would love to know where those numbers came from. The Florida numbers for Obamacare are more than $100/month LOWER than we were quoted for my wife. I notice they are still leaving out the deductable information also.
What happened to Virginia? Did they piss in Obama's Cheerios? They are getting over a 250% increase!
"I would love to know where those numbers came from."
Just like so many other numbers that spew forth from the regime- delicately fished from an unflushed executive toilet somewhere deep inside the CBO.
Remember those GloBull warming hockey stick spikes? They just took the code for those models and inverted it, then ran the numbers. Voila!
Hey, when you a libturd progressive, facts and numbers don't matter. You just pull something, that looks good on paper, out of your ass and nobody nearby is going to argue with you.
.....says the guy who sports a ridiculously photoshopped avatar......
That was weak.. listen to Thumper. If you can't say something nice, don't say and thing.
Rose, what do you expect from the troll?
true. can't expect much.
Where's those other 7 states? This plan was calculated on 57 states.
I think there's only 49 states.... Where's Hawaii?
Obama gave his home state a waiver, I guess.
"Obama gave his home state a waiver, I guess"
Which state might that be- Hawaii, Kenya, Indonesia...?
One of the 57 states. (by the way, I watched that video again the other day, and he actually says he's BEEN to 57 states, and still has 1 more to go. So we've been leaving out a state somewhere.
It's the State of Depression.
I think his home state is one of the other seven that he visited.
He's a citizen of the world, so he gives an exemption to whoever he wants to, whichever is politically advantageous.
Hawai'i didn't get a waiver, & I have heard on the radio that they will get hit very hard with price increases. At least the early projections are saying that. I can ask a friend who lives there about it if I really want to know. She can tell me about it once the ball gets rolling there.
So far we haven't heard how it will affect my husband's insurance in Hawaii. We did hear 22%. We have TriCare, though, too, with me being AD. He's a reservist, but his civilian job thus far offers decent health insurance. Not sure what we'll do once we find out. We are close to retiring, and when we do, from the looks of it, Prime won't be an option, anymore.
The military has already been dropping Tricare Prime like a hot rock, unless you live within walking distance of an active duty military base. Yes, I may be exaggerating, but you get the picture. Prime has passed us by and Standard is all I have left, after 22 years of service you'd think the gubmint would live up to its promises...crap, what am I thinking?
They didn't even have Tricare when I was in the AF. What exactly is it?
Its a private insurance for families and non active duty personnel. Its been ascrew up since its inception
OK, in other words, it's a way to keep the "riff-raff" (libtardese for enlisted personnel) off the bases.
Actually rank doesn't mattet. The want the dependents and retireesoff the base.
It's still part of the war on the military.
The result stated in the byline is by design. Obamacare is designed to be a heavily manipulated welfare program, & will be geared against those who opposed it, until it doesn't work at all. Of course, the assholes who impose it will be exempt from it. Because socialism is for you, the people, not them, the socialist.
