He is not a believer in wind power (“The schemes are largely hopelessly inefficient and unpleasant.”) or “sustainable development” (“…meaningless drivel”) or the concept of “settled science”: “One thing that being a scientist has taught me is that you can never be certain about anything.”

Isn't that one of the most inane arguments of them all? I mean, aside from the fact that it simply wasn't/isn't true, if we should *automatically* doubt the word of any scientist who might somehow profit from global warming denial, then why shouldn't we also automatically doubt the word of any scientist who profits from the so-called "green energy" business, or from research grants, or any other financial gain associated with the whole AGW shebang? According to some folks, a scientist who says, "Uh, wait a minute... this isn't fully supportable science here." *must* be working for Big Oil and therefore *must* be a liar, but a politician with no scientific expertise whatsoever who is poised to make millions or billions from some hair-brained, completely unworkable "cap and trade" scheme is someone we should all be following? Because he only has the planet's best interests at heart? Sheesh. Non-Logic - it's the new black!

Nah, all she, Gaia, has to do is follow the 'Progressive Liberal Agenda'. Incorporate as a 'Solar Company', advertize her advanced 'Green Technologies' (life,...),applying for 'Patents' on all 'Indigenous Life' and 'Planetary Processes' (Set-up for future 'Law Suits' and/or the 'Selling/Licensing' of the 'Rights To' angle), then apply for a large 'Federal Grant'. Declare 'Bankruptcy' after receiving the 'Grant', Donate to 'you-know-who', Lay-off all 'Employees' (Humanity), Lock-up all 'Technologies' (primarily DNA, RNA, however others as well, Thermal, Chemical, ....,) with 'Patent Rights' issues, then 'Retire' (disappear)! Fuck the 'Investors' (All Life).
Does that about cover it all?
