South Korea may have been westernized to an extent, but you can still get traditional foods, see traditional dress, celebrations, and items for purchase. You can hear Korean music, as well as Western. THere is NOTHING of traditional Korea in the North. Everything has been "cleansed" and replaced with the personality cult of dear leader. And basically there IS no food, traditional or otherwise. What an ass!
