Hey! Obama’s DOJ said his recess appointments were illegal last year

Obama’s DOJ last year told Chief Justice John Roberts “the [congressional] recess has to be longer than 3 days” to allow the president to make a recess appointment. So according to what his Dep. Solicitor Gen. Neal Katyal argued last year, what the president has just done is illegal. But, as Nixon once told David Frost, “If the president does it, that means it’s not illegal.’’ Hey, Obama’s the new Nixon – Hillary oughta love that!

  • The POS-in-chief can do as he damned well pleases and if the nation don't like it, they can pay more taxes, give up thier rights and freedoms, and then get sick and die.

  • Barry's a total idiot for doing this. If it stands up in court, I want to get a REAL conservative in office to "recess-appoint" heads of all these agencies expressly to SHUT THEM DOWN.

Rather than taking years of fighting through the electoral process to undo the bureaucratic state, do it in a couple months. Yay! No more DOE! No more any alphabet agencies! Appoint a hatchet man, get the budget money for the department back. Badda bing badda boom.

Now you see the NLRB, now you DON'T!!

    • Question is, how in the world are we going to get a "real" conservative elected? As soon as one shows up to run, the Democrats dig up some nonsense on him and shut him down. The GOP front runners are quite obviously not real conservatives, as the Dems haven't started their dirty tricks yet.

  • Both fly in the face of the Constitution. Nixon could not be prouder of barry, even he didnt think of all of the creative ways to break the law.

I've said in a previous post and will say it again. It's time for Article of Impeachment.!!!

  • I'm not a fan of recess appointments or executive orders even when a Republican President does them. But Obama seems to chafe more and more at working with the people's representatives in Congress. In my opinion, he shows more and more signs of wanting to be an imperial czar.
