Hold off on that victory celebration for Illinois. Seems the new “Republican” governor is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. We shoulda known the crooked Cook County political machine wouldn’t allow a conservative to win. Bruce Rauner is a major donor to the Democrat Party, Planned Parenthood, and the ACLU, with ties to Rahm Emanuel, Rod Blagojevich, and Bill Daley.

Sadly, those of us stuck here in Madiganistan (Mike Madigan, the uber-crooked Speaker of the Illinois House) only get our shot in the primary. Our only other choice was a Libertarian who wanted to legalize heroin. Any kinda luck, we can find Rauner a cell right next to Blago.
This is old news. The best part of this win is the psychological value of having even a fake Republican in Springfield. By accident he will be better than a Democrat and who really expects anything from Illinois anyway? It's the same thing in Massachusetts and Maryland. "GOP" governors are still better than Democrat governors even if just slightly.
Give this guy a break. He paid for that election fair and square just like the rest of them Chicagites that ran the office.

You're right. This didn't make sense. But what is clear is that elections in Illinois are a sham. The machine in Illinois knows who is going to "win" before the first vote is cast. Apparently Quinn ticked somebody off, and he obviously knows it. The Unions/Mob would never allow fiscal responsibility .
