House approves TPA by a 219-211 vote

• My congressman voted no on both of them. I'd like to think my post on his Facebook page helped him make those decisions. Amash is fairly libertarian so free trade is in his wheelhouse, but good for him he saw through the circus that Obama is making of this and voted no.

  • All three of my Congress persons, one is a woman, voted no on both! I couldn't believe it since they are all liberal loons who think the Obummer walks on water.

    Maybe, like you said, they got enough emails and phone calls against this mess to realize they had no hope of getting reelected if they voted for it.

  • Mine voted no on the TAA, but Aye on TPA.
    Looks like I'll have to send him another email.

    • Don't be to hard on him poppa, he voted against the most important part. If TAA cannot be passed TPP and TPA are dead in the water.

    • Ask him if he read it. You know he didn't because who is going to go sit in that special room and read the whole thing? Nobody. Especially not a dumbass congressman.

• Don't know if it was just a show vote or not, but for me, the consequence is still there: if you voted yes, then I won't be supporting you in the primary. Why? Because you just showed me what to expect from you.

• Hmmm - since the other one got approved, I feel that this was the distraction now...

• So will they show us what was in it now? They had to pass the TAA, to cover all the anticipated job losses from the TPA.

• I think this was nothing but a show vote because TAA didn't pass, so hopefully, if it had been a for-real vote, some of those yes votes would have been no votes.

    • Or pretending to be in favor so they can get those Big Business campaign donations.
