Unions, trial lawyers, and Democrats have done more harm to this nation than every Muslim terrorist who ever lived.
Sad to see what's happened to San Bernardino. I was born there in 1957.
The modern day public employee unions are about as useful as painful rectal itch.
I know I have posted this before, but here goes again. Years ago I was forced to join various unions....or not work. I considered it extortion then as I do now. After a few years of that crap I took up another profession where I could find employment that didn't require paying the extortion, ie union dues.
Here is my point, I was also required to attend at least some meetings. These meetings were enthusiastic communist rallies and nothing less. As Cougar says above, the IQ of the participants made room temperature hot. I was there, I saw it. Anyone that doesnt think unions are anything more than communist and a democrat party (although I fail to see any difference in Marxism/Communism and the Democrat party platform) money laundry is a gullible fool!
Watching these Commufornia communities swirl down the toilet is very entertaining. But the fact is, it is coming to a city near you soon. When the goose is dead, ala Spain & Greece, there will be riots. That too will be very entertaining.
Unions are just another layer of gov't that have access to your paycheck before it gets to you.
It's simple: public employee unions collect dues from union members and then contribute this money to the election campaigns of friendly politicians (usually Democrats). After they're elected the friendly politicians give the public employees generous pay, health and retirement packages. With higher wages the unions and their members are able to contribute even more dues money to the friendly politicians.
Eventually, the whole scam collapses as the numbers of well paid public employees and retirees increases beyond the ability of the city or state to pay them. So cities around the nation are filing bankruptcy while states like California and Illinois hover on the edge of the abyss.
Unions, which were established to protect workers from legitimate abuse, have now turned into the political machine that put Obama (back)in power. You should see what it is like to walk into any Union organization - the average IQ make room temperature look hot... the demand for benefits... the demand that they be treated as royalty... and the Kowtowing management does in their presence... it is nauseating. Just wait until they have finally killed the Golden Goose that capitalism brought us.
