How Ricin mailing suspect was caught by FBI tracking system that photographs EVERY item of mail. Another day another snooping method from our so-called government. We wonder how the 1st Amendment would cover writing F— You on every envelope we mail so they can enjoy reading it?

Sounds like this is part of the POs own sorting/tracking system and NOT a dedicated spying operation. If that is the case, I have no problem with it, and as long as FBI needs regular warrants to poke through it, I'm still good with it. Yeah I know, a couple big IFs there, but let's not get whipped up into a frenzy or we'll end up like like you know who, brains a pile of Jello and wanking away to Cor***te Gr**d.
I think this may not be true. I have heard that the woman contacted the FBI to accuse her husband. So, how does the mail scanner in any way have any part in catching her?
This is another Obama "I'll show THEM" move - trying to make it look like all of the spying that they are doing on us is making us all oh, so much safer. In fact, if there is any justice, and if people are getting as ticked off as I think they are, this may backfire.
The post office is operating at what is it? 45 billion annual loss? We are about to lose our Saturday service, and the cost to mail a letter goes up every 15 minutes. And now we see that the reason for all of this is because WE are funding THEIR spying of us!!?? I don't THINK so!
The article makes me wonder whether this isn't a planted crisis rich with grist feeding propaganda mills that abet efforts to not only expand domestic surveillance but also repeal the second amendment. She seems to be playing the role of caricature conservative gun and bible clinging looney a little too accurately and something about the story really stinks.
