Hungary starts building anti-migrant fence on Serbian border

• Hopefully they're not too late... the last couple times the caliphates took over Hungary and the region, the Hunkies were late getting ready.

• I notice Hungary is using military troops to build their fence, why can't we use ours to do the same thing? Ya think it may be that a lot of palms are greased to make sure the right contractor gets the job? One section outside of Santa Teresa cost $21million, for ONE FU***NG MILE of border fence. Don't tell me the contractor paid that much for material or labor, somebody in Washingtoon got a big bonus check in the mail.

  • The Army Corp of engineers builds shit all the time, why not a fence? Got to be easier than some of the stuff they do.

    • I have worked on some good sized Corp of Engineer projects over the years and believe me they are a typical gooberment agency. While they are standing around scratching their ass, trying to figure out how to get a job done, a good contractor can be 5 miles down the road getting it done. Our military, especially the SeaBees, would do a much better job in half the time.

      • I was working for a contractor on a dam project for the Corps. When I mentioned that I was working on my Civil Engineer's degree, they offered me a job. Seems that a degree, plus actual experience, made me look valuable to them. Alas, the pay was about half of what I was making at the time, and I have too much pride to work for a government agency.

        • I was offered a job while running a crew building a flood control project for the Corp and I have a 9th grade education with a GED. I don't think education means as much to them as hiring someone who can get things done. But, like you said, why would I want to take a big pay cut to put up with all the gooberment nonsense.

        • I figured, if I have to be here 8, 10, 12 hours a day, I might as well be actually doing something, and getting paid well.

    • I would prefer a replica of the Great Wall of China, with a gator filled moat 25' deep and 300' wide, the entire length of the border.

      • That kinda extravagant isn't it? How about a 200,000 volt electric fence and claymores?

        • Well, that works too, but with my idea, we are getting rid of a big gator problem in Florida and the Carolinas, and there is no cost for upkeep. The gators will be fed by the idiots that try to cross, there are no electricity costs, and we don't have to worry about anyone dismantling the Claymores and using them against us.

• We did pass a law to build a fence and appropriated the funds to do so. Obama has decided to ignore that law as well. Good thing impeachment is off the table.

• Maybe they can provide some foreign aid to us in the form of a fence building crew. WE can not seem to figure out how to build one, maybe the Hungarians can show us how. Yea, and let the U.N. Pay for it.

  • If the UN is paying for it, then it means WE are paying for it.

    • You got the joke then.....Cause we pay for everything the U.N. does, and I am not sure just what that is or what we get for the money...Nothing?
