Hyatt Place Hotels blocking Internet access to conservative websites. Pretty soon conservatives will need their own Internet because this one is slowly being closed to them. But at least now they know which hotel chain to avoid.

I stay at Wyndham properties, & I have never had any issues with anything. Let alone WIFI. Includes brands I stay at like Ramada, Days Inn, Howard Johnson, Travelodge, Baymont Inn & Suites, Microtel, & Wingate by Wyndham. Includes others as well...

I'm waaaaaaay behind enemy lines typing this on my iPad. I'm in Mammoth Lakes Kalifornia in the Westin and have been able to access all my favorite sites. This place is liberal loonie haven with more dickboy/plugs 2012 bumper stickers and Priuses than I knew existed!!!!! No censorship from Westin group, yet....

I just bring my own internet (4G wi-fi). Besides, who stays at Hyatts anymore? So 60's.
Well, I do from time to time because they have a phenomenal loyalty program. As a very frequent business traveler, that's a big deal....I'm Platinum for life with Marriott and a current Platinum with SPG. Anyway, when I'm in Houston, I stay at a Hyatt Place in Sugar Land and there are no blocked sites to my knowledge. But that is Texas not New York where the writer said he was.
Most of these hotels are franchises, not corporate owned. If the franchisee in NY wants to block those websites, they can, but they will suffer the consequences of losing the business of anyone that is a conservative.

Not surprising, as our incumbent Secretary of Commerce, Penny Pritzker, is one of the Hyatt family, which has showered the Illinois Political Combine with millions in campaign cash over the years.
I like one of the comments after the story, see if you can go to NAMBLA's web site and if you can question the hotel chain as to why you can got to a perv site and not a conservative one, and do it in public....
They stand to lose lots of business traveler lodgings.
When I travel I specifically look for Internet access, and I ask questions about what kind of access to make sure its performance will meet my needs. When I had to work in Vegas for a week, the connection was so bad it was useless and I negotiated a 25% reduction in my bill at the end of the week. In this Hyatt Place situation, I would have refused to pay. (In Nevada you can't refuse to pay. In Nevada not paying your hotel bill is classified as a felony believe it or not.)
It's easy to believe, after all, it is Harry "The Pederast" Reid territory.
