When the Obama supporters at Comcast (largest cable company in the U.S. and owners of the NBC/MSNBC propaganda network) merge with the Obama supporters at Time Warner Cable (second largest cable company in the U.S.), one hardcore liberal corporation will control the communications of more than a third of the American populace. (And the other two thirds isn’t much better.)

No wonder I can't seem to make any headway getting The Blaze on my cable system. Bright House is part of Time Warner. There has been a huge outrage over the addition of Al-Jazeera on our system in the Tampa area, where the Muslim population is low, but when thousands of Conservatives live, and we have been bombarding the Bright House Facebook page with requests for The Blaze, and opening request tickets on the phone with customer disservice asking for it. Yet they don't seem to think there is enough of a market for it.
Now you understand. Comcast and TW are one-two in size and also, last time I checked, one-two in customer dissatisfaction. For a while I was splitting time between Grand Rapids, where I had Charter, and Flint, where I had Comcast. I'd always had Charter everywhere I lived in the country and always complained about them, especially in Reno where they diagnosed my Internet problem but refused t fix it, but when I started using Comcast I was flabbergasted at the degree of their assholosity. And in the final measuring, the Comcast Internet connection sucked. On its best day the Comcast connection was only half as good as the worst day on Charter.
I actually have a very good connection with Bright House. I don't know why the name difference, since they're part of TW, but from what I have seen they are much better than TW. I had Communistcast in NJ, and was SOOOOOOO happy when I found out they weren't here in FL.
Sounds like a good time to switch to DishTV.
... or swear off television entirely.
Before you do, check out The Americans on FX. Probably the best show on TV if you're a conservative. Season 1 is on Netflix, I think.
I'm not trying to be a shill but the premise of a pair of KGB agents posing as an American husband and side during the Reagan administration is very relevant today when you consider who is posing as Americans in Washington today.
Great character development on that show. The emotional tension created by gung-ho communists living a lie in a capitalist country are awesome. First of all, they've gradually fallen in love and become a real man and wife. Second, their kids are, of course, full blooded American kids which creates a great deal of angst in the parents. And finally, everywhere they go, everything they do as pretend Americans proves to them how much more successful capitalism is than communism. How long can the TV series go before they decide, "Hey, we like it here better than we like Russia."
Actually I've already sworn off the tube. Frankly the merger creating such a progressive propaganda behemoth furnishes additional reason had I not already done so. Mainstream media and television addiction is a major weapon in the war of subversion being waged against us by the political elites- with the invaluable help of the entertainment industry. I probably could have worded my response a bit better.
Didn't The original Bell phone system get broken up for less? I almost have to applaud Comcast, they get to be the next Ministry of Propaganda.

One thing they could do and make a lot of friends among cable subscribers is force the unbundling of channels and allow customers to pick what they want a la carte. FIOS gives me something like 250 channels and I actually watch about 10 of them (I'm sure CNN and MSNBC as well as Al Gore Jazzera are on my menu and I'd ditch those POS if I could.) This bundling enables the cable companies to make lotsa $$$ at the suscribers' expense. Of course, the anti-big-business pro-little-guy Demoshit Party is not on top of this issue, either. What a fucking surprise, eh?
It’s the networks that want bundling. Their advertising rates are based on the number of eyeballs they get in front of. A-la-cart channeling would kill that.
The GOP doesn't care. They are just a different brand of Progressive scum.
Close... establishment Republicans serve a vital purpose for the Progressives... they perpetuate the illusion that there's an opposition voice which keeps would-be activism on the sidelines on the false premise that they are being heard.
