SorosRove, he cost us the last 2 elections by pushing for Democrat light candidates. I still don't get what GW saw in him.He annoys me almost as much as Geraldo, and when he comes on FOX to comment, I change the channel.
Rove is a socialist, don't be fooled by the leftist media's contrary bloviations. Rove and Bush are socialists, Fabian or Nazi at least and their intent is to advance the One World Order just like good Ol' Barry is doing, just not as fast, or as conspicuously...but advance socialism they will. Screw them all and as far as I'm concerned, hang them all for treason...that includes their fellow travelers in the Senate, the House and on the High Court!
Every time I read a mainstream news article about tax exemption, I get irritated. These dumbass journalists never seem to get it. It's NOT an issue of TAX EXEMPTION. If you're not in business trying to make a profit, you're tax exempt no matter what the IRS says. You don't even have to file for permission. You just ARE by virtue of your intent.
Understanding and solving the IRS problem.
The issue at stake in the IRS scandal is disclosing donors. That's all. Organizations like Crossroads don't want to disclose their donors, so they file with the IRS for a SPECIFIC tax exempt status (there are in total about 30 different IRS tax exempt statuses). If for some reason they don't get it, they will still be tax exempt -- they will just have to disclose who donated the money they've been spending.
The other issue is having your donations be charitable deductions. That requires 501(c)(3) status. NONE of the Tea Party groups the IRS has been bullying asked for 501(c)(3) status. But go figure, Soros's Media Matters, however, does have 501(c)(3) exemption:

As much as I hate Rove, if this were a democrat organization, you can bet this would have never happened. I don't care what the IRSS says. You can bet they are lying or out for revenge by order of President dickhead.
