Okay so I am not surprised and yet another reason why the IRS should be demolished. What is the solution? We may not be able to go back to the gold standard and perhaps not be able to go back to when paying taxes was truly voluntary, but there are things that can be done and those need to be explored, decided upon and implemented.
Demolished? I am thinking Nuclear weapons.....A split second of bright light and poof..all vaporized...
IRS: THIEVES USED OUR SYSTEM TO STEAL TAX INFO FROM 100,000: IRS hates competition! could be just my paranoia but what if the IRS and company allows identity thief? its never punished, its easy, so easy every 2 seconds it happens...wonder if the government is letting it get this bad until the citizens demand an identity chip? so the government can step in "of course reluctantly" and safe the day, while controlling every possible aspect of our lives and the ability to shut down and individual at any given time (or group)
oh, that's a good one. i never went that far cos i just didn't give 'em that much credit for being smart enough, but you may be right. perhaps they mean to make us underestimate them.
in any case, i do think it's simple enough for someone with log in rights to access things, probably from home or other remote location. as an IT person once, i know it's possible to do, cos that's how we worked from home and other off-site areas (like at the hotel when we had to travel for different client projects). so, yes, as employees, or contractors, people can get in. they can also give the info to someone unrelated to the organization/company/agency.
in other words, it could very easily be an inside job. all the hacking-in stuff we hear about lately could potentially be inside jobs, made to look "outside" by some hacker or enemy nation. or sold to some such by an employee or even an officer of the company. imagine when people who shouldn't be in certain positions get there en-masse? or just enough to wreak havoc at companies? that'd be a horror-movie scriptwriter's dream plot. and we have real-life horror-movie producers these days, not to mention leaders who lead from behind. helluva combination.
on that same topic, only in a different realm... the USA has used weather as a weapon before - waaay before. it's not inconceivable that some of these extreme weather disasters are being done either by a rogue/enemy nation or even by some asshole countryman of ours or our own government. who the hell knows anymore. but Pharaoh insists it's "man-made," so who am i to disagree?
evil use of technology (knowledge shared w/ one's potential enemies) and run-away liberalism (which actually ought to be called debauchery, since it's over-and-beyond liberalism and gives the ideology a bad name it doesn't really deserve) - this will do us in, absolutely and resolutely, as it has many other civilizations before for the same reasons.
how do we get this train back to the station? it is bigger than us now, it's like superhuman. when do we know we're at the point of no return? i'm saying we're there. we can't teeter-toter on the brink of it indefinitely.
Yea, I just spent an hour on the phone with the IRS today, waiting for someone to pick up my call. When I finally got a voice that wasn't a recording, it took them 25 more minutes to find out that the reason I haven't gotten my refund yet, is that Florida didn't report my lottery win to the IRS, so they couldn't figure out why I was owed so much money.
Now, realize that it took them over 90 days to figure this out, and I had to send them a copy of my W-2G form (by snail mail) to prove I paid so much in taxes. Once they get it, they said it will take them another 45 days to figure things out. So, since I filed on Jan 30, I can possibly get my refund by my birthday in late August.
With all those 'winnings,' isn't there a windfall tax or something; hell, by the time they're done with you, you might be able to afford a stacation, but with all the new EPA air quality laws, don't figure on a cookout in the back yard!
Yea, I paid the taxes. Out of over $62,500 I ended up with less than $47,000.

Perhaps if the IRS stopped shredding e-mails and breaking servers and started looking for real crooks instead of conservative groups this might not have happened..
What the hell am I thinking? These liberal pieces of shit that run the IRSS probably get a kickback from the thieves...so does the DNC.
