Is Global Warming Making Sea Turtles Extinct? Photos Explain the Truth. Loons like Al Gore and his ilk try and blame just about everything on global warming. We suppose when they see these photos they’ll still blame global warming for causing a drought/monsoon/flood/hurricane that caused a seed/crop/dirt/water shortage thus making these people harvest turtle eggs because they’re anthropogenic starving.

People harvest turtle eggs on the Gulf coast in Texas, but they are taking them to incubate them, not eat them!

Those photos are from before 2005 and take place on Mexico's Pacific coast. I last saw then in a Blogger blog on Mexican drug war news two years ago.

Think I remember seeing this once before. Saw the real deal once, down on Ascension Island. Working on a little cargo ship. It was turtle season, and once you found the right beach you could see them everywhere. I know I've heard about this harvest before, I don't think they do it on Ascension becasue there aren't any natives to claim native rights, which I believe is the Costa Rican deal. Funny tho, innit, the lefties have their little pantswetting tantrums over dying polar bears, but ignore that most of them are killed by Eskimos.
Yeah, you never hear greenpeace btching about Native tribes that still kill whales. They make them use an explosive harpoon charge though. Last I heard, that created a huge headache (gubmint regulations) for the bush jocks hired to fly the explosives to the village and fly unused explosives out after the village filled it's quota. Funny how some groups are exempt from liberal scrutiny and allowed to celebrate their heritage...
Protected classes of people will get no crap for this sort of behaviour.
