Look at another shithole, Stockton Kalifornia, bankrupt, and a total mess, yet they built a ballpark for a minor league team, an Arena that is home to a minor league hockey team and sits unused the majority of the year, a 20 million dollar Marina where you can Not buy gas for your boat and no one wants to keep their boat there, a renovated downtown where they gave an expensive restaurant five years free rent and the place went out of business in less than two (Stockton is the poverty capital of Kalifornia, Nobody can afford to eat expensive food) they built a new set of movie theaters where the "children" like to riot and rob on Friday nights, and a renovated theater, spent millions and they sometimes hold concerts with has beens or show old movies....Years ago a mayor (libturd) decided that EVERY neighborhood should have some low income housing to "be fair"..so you get crime from one end of town to the other.....These libturds spent like there was no tomorrow and promised all kinds of stuff they could not deliver, employees left in droves for other cities, a lot out of state, and Stockton remains a leading liberal shithole with high crime and poverty, and the voters keep electing libtards who have no clue. The current mayor was at a news conference dressed in a helmet holding a sword talking about fighting for the city, The first thing I thought of was the line from Airplane".."Do you like gladiator movies?" Now only in his first few months he is under investigation for a number of things....And of course he is a libturd idiot. When ever people get promises of free shit from Libturds, they need to run, screaming the other way as fast as possible, but the low intelligence, large forhead Neanderthals that vote this jerk-offs into office will never learn. So there will be more cities that turn into Detroitistan, or Harrisburg, or Chticago....

Here's a simple equation:
Democrat Rule + Big Spending Programs= Financial Ruin
Works nearly every time, look at a city ruled by Democrats (Detroit, Harrisberg, East St. Louis, Newark, Oakland, etc., etc.) and you'll see a vast wasteland. Factories close, schools, fail, taxes soar, the middle class flees. Yet the people who remain in these cities vote Democrat. Why? Free stuff from the government, they're dependent on it, they've sold their birthright as Americna citizens for the government dime.
Then we need to figure out some way to prevent them from voting...for real!
This story is/was ultimately about any Liberal City USA. San Francisco has gone this way, Sacramento has gone this way, Los Angeles is tending this direction, Modesto has gone this way, Fresno has gone this was, Taft has gone this way, McFarland has gone this way, Bishop has gone this way, Delano has gone this way, and these are just the ones I know of whilst living in Kalifornia...there are a whole s***load of towns like this here in Kentucky.

Over 100 yrs of Socialist failure in this country alone. If we didn't learn from "The New Deal" and we didn't learn from "The War on Poverty" and we didn't learn from Detroit 1(1970's) and Detroit 2 (2000's), does any of this really surprise you?
The problem is two fold.
1. Liberals refuse to look at the results of their policies and believe that it is not their fault that they always fail. Liberals think that their plans of finally proving that 1+1=POTATO always fail because of mean old conservatives.
2. Liberals pay no price for their follies. They fuck things up and keep their million dollar pensions. They lie about conservatives and are not sued out of their houses. Until that changes and they do pay a price for fucking things up it will continue.
And once again, we see the crux of the problem -
according to the communications director, or whatever title that idiot had, it's all good because the intentions were good, and "we had to do something."
Never mind that you destroyed a city.
Never mind how many lives you send in the wrong direction because of lost jobs, or inadequate education.
As long as your intentions were good, then all is good. In other words, what is most important is that you feel good about yourself, Mr Communications Director. Obviously, you do. Now you can take your cushy pension and move to Florida, content that all the problems in Harrisburg are the fault of the evil corporations.
