James Comey: ‘I was wrong’

James Comey: ‘I was wrong.’ Mr. Smug issues his mea culpa. Perhaps he should substitute ‘criminal’ for ‘wrong.’

After previously saying the FBI was vindicated by the Justice Department inspector general’s findings on the origins of the Russia investigation, former FBI Director James Comey said Sunday that he was “overconfident” in defending the FBI’s use of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act in the investigation.

  • Is Comeys passport in the custody of the courts? He’s been caught just like the rest of the conspirators. When the time comes is he going to flip on clap on clap off and the convert bone head? My money is on an untimely car accident.

  • Sounds like Comey is having a Bloomberg moment. Ya know, admitting wrong-doings and past indiscretions in order to gain something, like a vote or a stay out of jail pass.

  • The little foot soldier is sent out to kind of apologize..... How about Comey tells us who ordered this stuff and stops trying to defend his corrupt FBI?

THis guy has an ego the size of the Titanic, and we all know how that turns out.

  • Doesn't sound like a mea culpa to me. He's saying he was overconfident in FBI procedures, which sounds to me like he's saying the procedures were wrong, not him. The man is never going to admit he was part of a Deep State coup attempt. He wants to enjoy his retirement with his book money, not spend his time in Gitmo.

    • It sounds more like he's trying to sway public opinion and his future jury pool by admitting to something less than nefarious in his mind.
