Fonda’s second husband, Tom Hayden, a Left-wing activist with a bulbous nose and acne-scarred cheeks, had forbidden her to have either a washing machine or dishwasher. Far too bourgeois. She couldn’t even wear her Cartier wristwatch any more, because Hayden disliked any show of possessions. So she’d replaced it with a cheaper Timex. Fonda “subjugated” herself to Hayden because she was so enthralled with his left-wing principles. This proves what we’ve said all along – these people really don’t have any brains whatsoever. Hayden fantasized that he was presidential material; at least we dodged THAT bullet.

My only regret is . . . .Jane Fonda. Wish I had never heard of her, that she had never been born.

I'm wondering if the third generation syphilis carried by Che and the jungle rot Gonorrhea the Hanoi whore brought back home would have mixed into aids 14 years earlier then it actually happened. That's a terror filled movie script if I ever saw one!
I don't know if I've ever told this story here at IHTM. I used to be an ad agency guy and TV stations always take care of ad agency guys, which meant great seats at Dodger Stadium. One night our free expensive seats were just a couple rows behind the ones occupied by Tom Hayden. We both ended up leaving in about the eighth inning and as I walked out toward the parking lot beside him I decided to yank his chain.
Editor: Hi, Tom. How you doing? Haven't seen you in a long time.
Tom: (always the politician and not wanting to let on that he didn't have a clue who I was) Great. I'm doing great. How have you been?
Editor: I'm doing great. Make sure you tell Jane I said hi.
Tom: I'll do that.
Editor: Well, see you later.

Seats at Dodger stadium? You mean he wasn't out fighting for the oppressed and the underpriviledged that night? How much did those seats cost and how many starving children and/or unicorns could have been fed with that money?
From everything I've ever seen at that stadium, Dodger "fans" arrive in the 3rd and leave by the 7th inning "to beat traffic." Doesn't matter if the score is close or not. Tom must have fallen asleep.
