Jay-Z Selling Occupy Wall Street T-Shirts; No Plans to Share Profits With Protestors: And why should he? Did they invent the notion of putting a political slogan on a t-shirt and selling it? Did they pay for the production of these shirts? Did they pay for the distribution of these shirts? Are they in danger of losing any capital invested in the creation, production, marketing and distribution of these items if they fail to sell? No. And so we would like to give a plus 1 to Jay-Z. Capitalism is full of win!

Celebrity net worth said Jay-Z is worth 450 million and his wife Beyonce is worth 300 million. With a child on the way I guess he needs some t-shirt money to help make ends meet. Beyonce once gave a concert for Gaddafi's son for 2 million dollars. I think she later apologized and donated the money to charity. I don't like how she teaches impressionable girls and young women to act sleazy. Once I heard some of my nieces singing one of her songs:"If you like it then you should have put a ring on it." It angered me because I thought she was teaching young girls to think of themselves as objects. As for Jay-Z, I call his preferred art form crap rap. I once read that someone said rap is to music what spray-painting is to artistic painting.
Actually, though I hate rap and feel Beyonce is a talentless worm, the song "Single ladies" is referring to gys who want girls to give it up, but not marry, or even be in some kind of long term relationship. The ring being referred to is a wedding ring. Perhaps it was written with Jay Z in mind.
Neither one of them has a dime of my money, nor will they in the future. Rap is CRAP. The MTV generation is a big reason this country is going down the tubes.

Mr. Z is worth somewhere in the vicinity of 600,000,000 USD so he isn't likely to care about the profits (or losses) from this, even though that amount is likely to be waaaay more than I've made since dumping my coffee shop in 2007, including the large number of personal items I've been forced to sell to make the bills.
