If you actually watch the clip, watch jen's body language. I'm nobody to officially decipher these things, but from what I understand body language says a lot. Through the whole clip, she's shaking her head in a "no" manner while saying everything she said. Lie much miss psaki?
Your point is a really good one especially when you watch the video without sound. By focusing only on the mannerisms and gestures you can see the contradictory signals you indicate.
