Jerry Brown wants to be a dictator like Obama. When the California Assembly wouldn’t pass a Global Warming bill requiring a 50-percent reduction in the state’s petroleum use, Brown vowed to make it happen anyway by executive order.

A 50% reduction in petroleum usage in Kalifornia? That is one I wish they would vote in, it would benefit the rest of the country. I say that because Kali. has the stupidest auto emission laws in the country. Refineries have to make special gasoline to fit their laws, their emission rules, and it cost more money to do so. Since Kali. only has two refineries, no new ones will ever be built there, other refineries around the country have to shut down and recalibrate just for that one state.
Which means all of us living in other states have to pay some of the extra costs that should be charged to Kalifornicators alone. If those of us living in other states were not helping with the extra refining costs people in Kali. would be paying $7 to $8 bucks per gallon for gasoline. It might be higher than that since it takes about a week for a refinery to shut down and recalibrate everything just for their own blend of gasoline, plus it could lead to shortages in the state from time to time.
It pisses me off to no end that I live in the 5th largest oil producing state in the country, with four oil refineries within 250 miles, and usually have to pay more than .20 cents per gallon over the national average for gas. Part of the reason is a lot of the gas they refine in west Texas and eastern New Mexico goes to Kalifornia and we have to help pay for it.
Kalifornicators want a special kind of gas? Fine the state should have to build their own refineries to make it. It is wrong for the rest of us to have to pay so they can live in their liberal utopia with air that is no worse than it is anywhere else in the country.
I agree with your premise, but California has more than two refineries. I've worked in two of them, and I know there's more that I haven't worked in. You're right that the leftists in charge will never allow any more to be built though.

Jerry Brown is worried about his legacy, nothing else, he wants statutes in his honor, a bullet train to nowhere, tunnels to steal water from Northern Kalifornia for his big money donors down south in the land of Holloyweird, and now he thinks by F*cking up the entire economy of the state he is doing the right thing. Next week Jerry will sign an executive order appointing himself Governor for Life, which will cause BO to turn green with envy and signature his own permanent appointment as Big Brother.
