No, he was the mayor when a hostage negotiator was murdered on live TV due to the fact that Jimmy gave the stand down order directly to the swat team members who had the gunman in the cross hairs. He then had the balls to rip into the commanders because the murderer was shot and killed after he had just shot the negotiator. All he cared about was how it was going to make him look the next time he ran for office.

Sheesh, I didn't even know about that. I'm surprised the police listened to him. Mayors aren't commanders-in-chief in charge of the police like the president is commander-in-chief of the military. Doesn't work like that at the municipal level. In every city I've ever heard of, the top commander is the chief of police and he can tell the mayor to go suck eggs. The mayor can fire him later - or the mayor acting with the city council can - but during a situation the mayor has zero authority.
