VA riles veterans with push to change disability claims process

VA riles veterans with push to change disability claims process. Typical Obama administration. Let’s screw people that truely deserve benefits so we can shift that money over to the shiftless who won’t work but will vote for a dead person if they have a “D” after their name so they can continue to be blood-suckers. What a travesty.

  • My son has uber liberal in-laws, ie Union hacks. They bitch and moan about the VA where his mother-in-laws mother goes. They whine that it is a nightmare. My son, apparently not worrying about having his kneecaps broken, always tells them, "This is exactly what is coming with Obamacare. ie Government run health care." He says they just do a slow burn.

    • I saw a car today with a bumper sticker on it that said "A RN's place is in the nursing union".

I almost threw up on the car.

      • Still, I appreciate the plan to try and demand fair wages, payment for On call an d overtime. Nurses perform 90% of the care provided in hospitals, nursing homes schools and home health. But they get paid squat. Are expected to work holidays and weekends and get paid straight time, with a day off somewhere else. Well Christmas with your family and friend doesn't happen onthe 27th.

  • More proof that this administration has declared war on this country's Veterans. Quagmire and his communist friends know that if anybody will uphold the Constitution he's so busy trashing, it will be a vet.

    • That's why he has tasked the VA with disarming vets through the "mental instability" method. Plus, they are saturating the airwaves with advertisements telling vets that it's OK to go to the VA for help when you feel lonely or down. That is just trying to advertise for you to hand over your guns and rights!
To top it off, they are prescribing anti-depressants for conditions unrelated to mental issues, that they AREN'T APPROVED FOR USE FOR! Then they have a record of you "needing" anti-depressants, and you are again no longer allowed to own a gun!
It's all a move toward disarming the vets first, and the general populace next, and imposing a dictatorship.

  • Yea, tell me about it.

In a statement to Fox News, the VA said it's simply trying to modernize and catch up with its 400,000 backlogged claims

If you want to catch up with the backlog, you could try ACTUALLY PROCESSING THE FUCKING CLAIMS!!!

    • re: "....you could try ACTUALLY PROCESSING THE FUCKING CLAIMS!!!"

TOTALLY and completely agree! The problem isn't the damaged Vets, the problem is the overpaid self-important bureaucrats that keep their machine oiled with the blood of dead vets. Throw money and pills at em, then send them down the road to live in a homeless shelter.

      • Exactly, I was recently informed that my claim decision was moved back from the original timeframe of between 15 and 21 months from when I filed to between 22 and 28 months from when I filed.
So the bullshit about completing a claim within 12 to 15 months that the VA has been claiming was never true, and they knew it when they said that. BTW, not only was my completion date moved back, but they moved my file out of state to another processing facility under the guise of "Speeding up the process"!
Mind you, this is only the first waiting period, I fully expect to be denied, even though I have proof of injury in my medical records from basic training on, and then I will have to enter the everlasting appeals process. Hopefully, I will get approved before I die.

        • If they delay long enough, maybe the vets will just die off, preventing the expenditure for their claim. The current "budget" is planning on cutting pensions to vets and surviving spouses. And they wonder why no one volunteers to join!

        • BTW, this year is 27 years from when I first asked about disability, and was told I don't qualify, but since they discouraged me, and I didn't file, I'm out all that money.
