There are more people trying to scam a disability check from SS than you can imagine. The lawyers have taken to advertising on TV that they will fight for your disability checks.
I didn't think they factored in the unemployment disability claims. There are a lot of them out there now. 2 years ago a neighbor became perminently disabled on the job. He had no insurance so he had to go on medicaid. 2 years later they dropped his medicaid because his wife received SSI. It wasn't enough to cover this man's bills. He ended up selling almost everything he had to survive. He had to wait 2 years to become eligible for Medicade. He finally began getting enough to survive on even though he now owns almost nothing and he's too poor to replace what he had to sell. Obama won that war and now he has to depend on the gubment to live. He may not get that in the future the way things are going.
As a well-paid Government employee, many Conservaturds think my day-to-day occupation is all cream and sugar. This is not true. We often have to bring in our own sugar, because of budget cuts we are no longer able to provide the expensive imported raw sugar for our staff and instead must suffer with plain sugar packets from common grocery stores.
These horrible cuts have made it difficult for me to work in these hostile conditions.
Last week, I was told that our on-site massage services would be cut!!!
I am beginning to think that this mental abuse will force me into claiming disability. The only thing that keeps me going is the thought of an unfettered Obama in his second term. I placed a picture of a $4,000 office chair under my Obama 2012 sticker on my vision board.

And in my anecdote above, no one was forcing anyone to get into these mortgages. The brokers were happy to do it, and the securitization on the back-end made a lot of money for investors
Sub-prime is not necessarily CRA, and I saw guys walking away from good loans because they went overboard. "Flip This House" was not Government Bubble TV
Its not only Mcdonald's employees.. In IT, with high salaries, i saw many others get into the frenzy and borrow for 2nd, 3rd, 4th mortgages, thinking they'd all have sterling renters and unending price bubbles. Only a couple of the very shrewdest of them pulled it off.
