Bonfire of the Absurdities: After 35 year career writing software for IBM mainframes, am now self-employed contractor thinking of joining a union and striking for higher wages. Cured morbid fear of heights when I learned to look at them as lengths standing on end. Uncompromising in refusal to accept browser cookies. Amateur investor who has accumulated a small fortune in the market after starting out years ago with a large one. For recreation, I run, hike, kayak and play tennis but will not consider synchronized swimming under any circumstances.

Up here in Northern New England, we call it Scrote Island. It's where all the rich Massholes park their stuff to avoid paying taxes.

Gee, ya think the Mob-connected construction companies and pet unions have anything to with that, in the state where the mayor of the capitol city spent half his term in jail for corruption?
You live anywhere near there? You're right, there is always something going on, not necessarily a bad thing - I do like the new bridge getting around Prov. to 95S, but Holy Don Corleone, Batman, those little bridges where you come IN to Prov. over the line from MA are =always= under construction! I've been in the neighborhood for near 20 years now, and those things are still being repaired!!!
That's why I always took 684 to 84 to 495 when going from NJ to Maine. Completely avoid 95 at any chance I can, especially in CT (Construction Time) and RI (Road Inconvienience).
No I don't live there but been through a couple of times on the way from NY to NH. Last time it was miles of miles of mess, not to mention that frigging tunnel that goes under Boston.
