Congress has not passed, nor has Obama signed a law that says gays can marry. Podesta is a retard. SCOTUS doors not make law. They merely adjudicate the constitutionality of laws. This is why our country is in ruins

Kim Davis was upholding the law. G_d's law which is higher than that of SCOTUS, and the foundation upon which US laws used to be based.
I agree, but according to the Constitution, her personal beliefs cannot trump Federal law, in that we have no one state rekigion that everyone has to follow. We can't even get Christians in the same boat, much less all the world teligions. Fighting between Christian denominations drove the no state religion clauses in the Constitution.
There is still no law, or anything in the Constitution, that provides for gay marriage, therefore, she broke no law.
The reply needs to be ... then let's treat everyone equally and put to prison all officials who disobey federal laws... let's start with San Francisco officials and all other sanctuary cities, then Colorado, and so on and so forth.
Amen! That's what is so stupid about this whole thing. A nobody clerk in the hills of Kentucky doesn't want to issue marriage licenses, and gets jailed for contempt. Huckabee made the point that Newsom in San Francisco officiated gay marriages when it wasn't legal... nobody put his ass in jail...
I don't agree with her stance based on a lot of issues as I have stated before. I do know that she in essence didn't really break any laws. She was in the right about that. However her going to jail was completely wrong and over the top.

Also, SCOTUS can't make law. They can say a law is constitutional or not. Legislatures make law. As far as I know Kentucky does not have a law that says homos can marry.
And therein lies the problem. Ms. Davis states there is no law authorizing her to issue licenses. And there isn't. I wonder what shecwould do if there was, howevrr. Would she still reguse based on her beliefs? That would be violating her oath of office. What a mess!
The reply should be, "Oh I don't know, maybe the difference between one's beliefs and all out treason maybe?"
