Daily Show explores Occupy Wall St.’s class divisions

The Daily Show explores Occupy Wall St.’s class structure. As John “$400 haircut” Edwards might’ve said, there are two Occupy Wall Streets – one with noses in the air (the hipsters) and one without (the ghetto.) Listen to the genius (around 4:20 in the video) explain the difference between “personal property” (which he’s for) and “private property” (which he’s against.) More nuance you haven’t seen since Michael Moore explained why a multi-millionaire like hisself is one of the 99 percent.

Bonfire of the Absurdities: After 35 year career writing software for IBM mainframes, am now self-employed contractor thinking of joining a union and striking for higher wages. Cured morbid fear of heights when I learned to look at them as lengths standing on end. Uncompromising in refusal to accept browser cookies. Amateur investor who has accumulated a small fortune in the market after starting out years ago with a large one. For recreation, I run, hike, kayak and play tennis but will not consider synchronized swimming under any circumstances.

  • And what is it that both Animal Farm and Lord of the Flies draw their respective truths from?

It's the same thing that the OWSers are habitually in denial of...

It's what has been staring them in their collective faces, and quite possible slapping them upside their collective heads ...

And it serves as the #1 refutation of everything they want to set up, which is the reason that it is possible only in la-la-land, and completely impossible in real life ...

    it is HUMAN EFFIN' NATURE!!!!

What developed in their oversized, outdoor latrine is exactly what has been happening in the whole world, throughout its history, regardless of political system, of ethnicity, religion, the presence or absence of money, or anything else.

  • That was actually pretty funny. Some of the OWS even seemed to realize they were being made fun of.

  • Moore's explanation isn't totally without merit - he actually did pay off some mortgages with part of the first 3 mil he scammed out of Hollywood.

    Since, not so much.
