• And we're all shocked. Or not. I think politicians are in greater risk of assasination from their own than the public

• Strangely reminiscent of all those Clinton associates who dropped dead just before the Whitewater hearings started.

• He was cute for a liberal male. This is the one time he wasn't toeing the line and he may have payed the ultimate price for that. However it could have been just an accident but because we are talking Obama administration here... it is just hard for me to get into the coincidence beat.

  • This has bothered me since day one. An "accident" is when I drop a cigarette in my lap or spill a cup of coffee while I'm driving. This car ran through 2 red lights at a high rate of speed before it spun out and slammed into that tree. The only thing in my experience that fits that scenario is being drunk - or suicidal. I have the solemn oath of some LA dentist that Michael Hastings body was in that car? The whole story stinks!

      • I have absolutely no idea. If this whole thing had happened 1000 miles from Hollywood I'd probably forget all about it, but I watched too many episodes of "Burn Notice" to ever accept anything that I don't experience with all 6 senses as "real". A story is just a story and for all I know, Michael Hastings is, and always has been on the CIA payroll. Maybe this "accident" was just a well designed carrier move.
