  • Not surprised, a lot of the current politicians got their start by being on a School Board, and working their way up from there.

  • The gestapo is well and a live in Gilford NH. Notice that he was over by 1 minute and 13 seconds. Hell if that were the case at some of these fancy bullshit leftwood awards show, they'd all be arrested and carted off in a matching set of bracelets.

    It must have been the fact that he read from one of the assigned readings for his fourteen year old daughter and forced the school board to face what they have mandated reading.

    • Sadly, the Board likely had no idea just what they were mandating. The schools' administration does not exactly include the Board. Of course, if Board members actually DID their jobs, they would have removed this from the required reading list.

  • A lot of school boards are straight up assholes. I have seen some of those meetings. If they don't want to hear about it, they cut off the speaker. They do not abide by any of the rules. And I watched a Stockton Superintendent of public instruction laugh and make fun of a lawyer who was using his time to notify the school board they are being sued. Funny guy. He left shortly after that when the FBI showed up at his door investigating political corruption charges. The problem is the school district will take it in the shorts, the people who make the bad decisions are immune from the suit unless the district goes after them after losing. We have a screwed up system with no accountability for shitheads that get elected and go off their rocker.

    • Which is why I vote NO on any school funding bills that come up. They always cry about needing more funding, but I'd venture to say that most of the extra monies they get go to adminstrative costs and not to the classrooms or the maint. and ops funds needed to keep the buildings in good working order. "We're low on funds-let's cut back on maint. and custodial costs, but those shitty Administrators and teachers we have, well they have tenure."

      • Every time the issue of school vouchers comes up, atheist groups start screaming that some people will use their voucher to send their kids to a religious school, and that violates separation of church and state. Well, this is one atheist that is just concerned about kids getting a QUALITY education, regardless of the school's affiliation. I want the government schools shut down, and competition between privately run schools. This is a government sponsored monopoly that ISN'T working.

  • I just want to understand the current state of discourse in America, please correct me if I'm wrong. Occupy Wall Streeter's can sleep in the public square, deficate on police cars and streets and this is fine. More recently, Leftists can march through Manhattan chanting slogans calling for the murder of police officers, but if you read from the text assigned by the Leftists they want to use the state to silence you?!
    Somewhere in here is George Orwell's 2 minute hate, I'll be damned if I know where to apply it.

  • Damn, where were those books when I was in school? I had to read Johnny Tremain or Shakespeare but nothing about a guy unzipping his pants and brushing something stiff and hard against her bottom. It wasn't his fingers, it was something thicker than his fingers. It was her first platinum American Express card.
