I hate the government more than i hate the media. Overall government of Man is a problem. I am sick of these power grabs and testing cases to see if they can break down the courts and the constitution even more.
The EPA falls in with the IRS. The courts rule against them and they decide which laws they will follow and which ones the will not. Just like the communist bastards they are.
The EPA is just another agency doing its utter best to silence those who disagree with it and this administration.
The people have no rights, except what is giving to them by this administration or so they think. Thomas Jefferson was correct in his quote.
Every government agency seeks to expand it's powers, the Constitution be damned.

After reading a BBC article today I had a rethink wrt to Keystone. The Dept. of State’s statement as reported in the BBC article advised that "This announcement is not a judgment on the merits of the pipeline, but the arbitrary nature of a deadline that prevented the state department from gathering the information necessary to approve the project and protect the American people." is misleading and untrue. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-16621398
But it would appear the that the original Keystone Permit (1) was approved and issued by the US Department of State back in March 2008 with the final approval dependent on an approved "Final EIS". Following the 2.5 year EIS process, “On August 26, 2011, the U.S. Department of State issued for approval (by the Secretary of State - Clinton) the Final Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed Keystone XL oil pipeline.”

To fully appreciate what is going on one I believe one has to read the Dept. of State's "Mission Statement" as signed and issued by Clinton in 2010. One of the core missions is to "Stimulate market forces for transformational policies in alternative energy, electricity, development and reconstruction." This is followed by the comment: "Traditional sources like oil and gas continue to be essential but all countries must promote responsible use and diversification of those supplies."
Given that Keystone is not (i) alternate energy and (ii) does not diversify supplies it does not meet the "policy" requirements as established by Clinton in 2010 when she took over the Dept. of State. IMHO, there is strong case to be made that this is a Dept. of State (Clinton) Policy Decision nothing more nothing less.
What is going on at the moment in WDC is a furthering of the Dems political agenda and zero to do with the environment or the welfare of the US. To the contrary, future energy prices will be forced up to the point that so called Green projects can compete with conventional sources energy. It is called market manipulation.

The same MacCracken that as an expert witness convinced SCOTUS that the Mann Hockey Stick was for real.....and we suffer the consequences of that absurdity today. The EPA needs to be shutdown, disbanded, obliterated.

You can ask whatever question you would like. The simple fact of the matter is the Fedcoat government is going to do it anyway. Why aren't people asking why the Fedcoat government can throw me in jail if they call me a 'terrorist' without evidence (NDAA 2012) and deny me all my rights? Why can they strip me of my citizenship for being beligerent for exercising my 1st Amendment rights (Enemy Expatriation Act...not yet law).

Nobody owns property in this country any more. You're just renting it from the government. If you doubt this, just try withholding the rent, (property taxes), and see what happens.

I listen to Wilkow and agree with his assessment. While I am fully aware that I am beating my head against the wall, this and a lot of other actions that illustrate the subversive nature of progressives is what I've tried to convey to liberals who have no idea what they are really supporting. When I point these things out I get accused of being closed minded and conspiratorial. Frustrating that it is all right in front of us but so many refuse to accept it.
If it's conspiraltorial, why is it out in the open? Beck has shown that, as for being closed minded, tell them to look up history. If they are too busy or lazy to, oh well. Since Winston Churchill is my political hero, & he was considered to be a whackjob conspiracy guy back in the day when he was warning about Hitler years before it hit the fan. Get another 4 years of Obama & we really start morphing into Venezuela, & then those same folks will be bitching about it. They come to me with that, I may very well kick their ass, & you will need to do what you need to do. Because as Wilkow has also said, if we give Obama another 4 years, we deserve what we'll get.
I cannot agree with more with your post. It is like peeling an onion with progressives. They have their talking points and with a bit of knowledge and common sense it is pretty easy to peel away one layer at a time. I have a Facebook friend who I went to college with. Smart guy, published novelist, senior job at a LA ad agency but also a committed leftist. When he posts there he writes as though his is the last word on the topic. A lot of our mutual friends hang on every word because, after all, they all like Thomas Lakeman novels. When I choose to debate him I simply use my knowledge of the Constitution, history, or economics and just pose
simply phrased questions. He gets very frustrated every time because his arguments fall apart under any degree of scrutiny. Why? Because his worldview is based on emotion and a warped sense of justice. Olivia actually "debates" similarly.
I've found that's the best way to debate, Kick. Just ask hard questions. They don't have to be rude, just impossible to answer without looking totally stupid. Or they answer with standard progressive nonsense, and you compare it directly to Communist teachings. Most of the libs I know have never even heard of Alinsky, but they all like what he says.
The problem with many "progrssives" & those who think that label is "enlightened", is that when you show them that their views are ripped from the Communist Manifesto, they don't believe it. Progressive leaders know, but the average low level progressive does'nt. That's because they don't know the actual history of progressivism, & what it's end game is. Some of these folks are old school liberals, who really don't understand what has happened to the Demacrat party. My mom & dad are old school, working class union Dems. But they don't quite get the progressive element that is going to destroy this nation with top down, comand control gov't.
That's my girlfriend, in a nutshell. A classic liberal, who doesn't understand that her party has left her. I know what her views are, and I constantly bring up stories that show her that modern Democrats don't share her views, and she just can't kick the habit.
When I point out to my brother the list of Democrats and liberals who championed racism and abortion of minorities (eugenics) and so on... he says well that was in the past. However, if Republicans or Conservatives were to have had that history like the Democrats, I am sure that he would be the first to point that out whenever he disagreed with a contemporary time Republican or Conservative. It is either hypocrisy or willful blindness/ignorance. I am not proud to change my point of views when it is proven that the point of views are not benign either to myself and others, there are others though that do not or cannot change because then they must admit they were in error. However, if you are made aware that the issue is conducive to evil ways, what does that say of the person that refuses to change? It is best to admit that the party has been hijacked and make changes or call of changes than be blind and do nothing and think that everything is still the same.
