Karl Rove thinks journalists are stupid. He may be giving them too much credit.

• Karl Rove is not an idiot. The man is incredibly smart and well read. I am sure that a good number of the misinformed people that hate him and spend time calling him names, do not know half of the stuff he has forgotten. I told him straight up through Twitter that I didn't like him for the longest time. The reason is because he seemed so mysterious and arrogant, and so on and so forth, however when I TOOK THE TIME TO READ AND INFORM MYSELF OF HIS POLICIES and the things that he accomplished I realized that I was wrong (even if I didn't agree 100% of what he stands for) about him. He actually answered me and told me that he understood where I was coming from and now that he is no longer tied to silence due to his job, he wants people to get to know him better. Overall it is the media who like he so well said wanted to blame "someone" for what was going on, that focused on him. They feared him, because they saw that Bush had to have a mastermind behind the scenes and he was it. If it wasn't him it would be someone else. So this is what he is doing going out there and letting people have a more informed opinion of him, it is the misinformed that WANT to continue to be misinformed that do not do themselves any favors. If people want to continue to hate him they will. Even people that disagree with him, if they see the other side of the coin they will see another case.

  I think that what he is trying to say is that people who want to be informed they can have the whole picture, but certain journalist do not help. Instead of being unbiased and report things as they are, they distort things, omit things or enhance the negative only. That sort of thing gets to the populace and those that do not dig deeper do not get the whole story.

  I cannot defend all that this guy stands for, but again there is more to the story that a lot of these journalist that hate him have to offer.

• Ladalang is correct. Both parties have failed the people, why do you think millions have registered as Independents? We all hope that our leaders will eventually be able to work together but alas, it does not look like that will happen. Both sides think they are right about everything. How sad. History (thank God) does teach us that when things get bad enough, and most people realize that we need to vote all of the "professionals" (I use this word in jest) out, then the system will work better. This was the genius developed in the system that our forefathers created.

• Rove is an idiot, the cuts were against him not the American people. His underhanded campaigning style is the issue. They aren't stupid, they just aren't getting told the truth. People will believe the propaganda they hear on their TV. He is responsible for that misinformation and propaganda.

      • Darlin' if Rove was an idiot the left wouldn't fear him so. If you want to talk about dirty tricks, underhanded politics and general lack of scruples, the masters of the art live in the Democrat party -- Kennedy, Johnson, (Carter was an idiot so I don't give him credit in this category); Clintons; and Obama -- yes the guy who was legal council for Acorn, the voter fraud specialists, the buddy of Chicago crime syndicate leaders and of course the radical anarchists who were just in the hood.
        So, if you're going to call Rove names, give specifics. Any idiot can call someone an idiot.

        • I'm in agreement, both sides are terrible Democrat /Republican two sides of the same coin. My point was, Rove thinks journalist are stupid yet when they nail him he throws the American people under the bus, by the media saying he's evil is saying the American people are stupid. They don't fear him. Who fears him? Do you? He's an idiot, his tactics are transparent. He isn't my hero, but he appears to be yours. That's pretty sad. Drink up!
