When she took over the evening news, she said she was going to be different and hear from different voices. And so, one of the first things she did was give Sean Hannity a couple of minutes to give an opinion one night. That experiment didn't last long, as the San Francisco CBS affiliate and others freaked with complaints from leftists. Her ratings weren't bad briefly, but then they hit record tanking lows.
OF course, I have some sympathy for her. If the newscast was THAT BAD, why were the ratings so low? There is clearly a huge gap between critically acclaimed and commercially successful.
Katie, spare us the traumas of your life. Leaving a $15 million a year job for a $40 million a year job; ohmigod, what a struggle! Katie's another MSM dinosaur, like Rather, Williams and Matthews; they're dying from lack of an audience, but they're too dumb to realize it. They can't go extinct too soon.

Disclaimer: GH used to be a semi-good magazine, but it is nothing but 1-page "articles", weight-loss and makeup ads and recycled tips on how to apply eyeliner and cook chicken now. I got a subscription for free. I finally just tossed in the trash as soon as it came in. It wasn't worth FREE.

LMAO! She sealed her fate with me when she aired her colonoscopy live on national TV. Conversely it was also when she was most interesting to me.
I think she considered that in-depth reporting.
Poor Katie, she should have stuck with the Today show. At least ratings were the least of her problems because nobody cared.
I also understand that she DID cash the paychecks. Whata trooper.
I will say this, if someone is dumb enough to enter a contract to pay you what she was being paid, take the money & run.
