You can' t control the weather. But there is always some sucker(s) from whom to scam money.

If you're wrong on climate change (which you are, but that is a separate discussion), it's perfectly okay.
If you're wrong on wrecking the economy and our 21st century lifestyle to solve a non-existent problem, well I as well as many others will have an issue with that.

As insane as it seems to us more-or-less sane people, yes, people like Kerry know full well that their policies will send us half way to the stone age, and they don't have a problem with that.
Do not try to find or apply logic and reason to the thought process of an irrational person.
They want to send US back to the 19th century. They themselves will still live in the 21st.
When the people that scream the loudest about AGW quit their high carbon lifestyles, then I might take their argument more seriously. Not much more but a smidgen more.

That's exactly correct. Because they are enlightened, highly evolved, intelligent human beings. We, on the other hand, are mouth-breathing, knuckle dragging troglodytes that have no business owning cars to travel willy-nilly all over creation despoiling pristine wildernesses such as Yosemite, Yellowstone, San Francisco, the Hamptons, etc. Not to mention owning single-family homes.
But they are the first to bitch when their phones don't work, their computers don't have access to WiFi, or their cash registers can't tell them how much change to give.
I recall reading a great editorial that I thought i saved but can't find right now. Basically, the guy made the great point that the reason urban areas are so solidly blue is because they are so removed from the actual production of their lifestyle.
They take for granted that you flick the switch and the lights come on, that you pull up to the gas station and cheap (indexed to inflation, it's cheap, and most certainly compared to Europe, it's damn near free), gas is always available, that cell phones, computers, pads, good houses, and fine foods are just "there". There is a complete disconnect between the products/services and the production thereof. Actually, they are absolutely clueless that there even IS a production process.
So they end up with the viewpoint that you can have zero pollution, zero garbage, animal rights, and pristine wilderness everywhere, and still have all those things that make life what it is.

I can't wait for it all to collapse and they suddenly find that nothing is available to them. Talk about culture shock! Their little balcony vegetable gardens won't last them long enough to figure out WTH happened! In the meantime, those of us who are preparing for this are going to be laughing at them.
A perfect example would be their electric cars and buses. They think that it's "zero emission." Actually, many of those cars are still coal powered.

And solar power is free too, and completely clean. As long as all the strip-mining to get the rare minerals takes place in China, far far away even from Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong, where no media ever tread.
Actually, much less are in effect coal-powered, thanks to ... fr ... fr ... fra ... FRACKING! Which allowed so much coal-burning to be replaced with natural gas that we already met the Kyoto goals.
I never thought I'd say this, but Kerry makes even some of the dimbulbs at MSNBC look smart. (Not all of them, mind you, but some)
Considering what has happened with our foreign policy, I would say it is going to be a disaster...Because it is run by the mentally ill and the Climate Clinger Cult.
The worst that can happen is the decimation of our economy.
