Kevin Smith on God: I’m spiritual myself; I believe in God. I don’t need some dude judging me and how I live, and cramming God down my throat. God is something that, you go to the fridge and say, “I want a can of God,” and you enjoy it. The moment somebody is like, “You have to take all of this god, you have to carry it and you have to live these rules,” they ruin a good thing . . . That is good advice about not shoving “God” on people. Unfortunately Smith cannot apply this reason to the other place in which it applies. Otherwise he’d stop trying to shove his big government and his rules and his controls onto us.

Generally, I haven't cared much for Smith over the years. The quote that begins this thread is more of the shallow stuff he spews when he's generally talking about the wonders of pot. I thought "Dogma"(1999) was virulently anti-religious and even blasphemy. "Red State"(2011) seemed to be an obvious hammering of southern people of faith. But on the plus side, as a person who collected comic books when I was a child and teenager, I enjoyed some of his comic book show on AMC. And he is backing Romney this election, so maybe he's maturing.
I enjoyed "Clerks" and "Mallrats". Didn't see that AMC shows. Don't have cable. But do his dreams have giant spiders in the third act?

So why would any one care what a guy who is too Obese to fly had to say? I read the article and it appears he is in love with himself and thinks he is important to something. What I don't know. Two words fat boy, Jenny Craig.....

So what is saying is that he wants to enjoy G-d without a person telling him how to enjoy G-d. Okay fine and why is he saying this? Who is pressuring G-d down his throat again? Even if such aperson exist it is one person not the entire Government. I don't know why he is bitching... He is okay with Government being all up in our lives, but he is not okay with a person who has no power over him telling him how to enjoy G-d... *rolls eyes*
