One collects delegates during the Primary elections. SOme states have a winner take all, some break up the delegates to match the actual votes. WHOEVER gets 1170 delegates, wins! They get the nomination. If you get 1169, you lose. Them's the facts son. It doesn't matter if Ron Paul had 5 delegates or 5000 delegates. He didn't have the required number to get the nomination. Period, end of story, no back talk, that's the way it is. Now if they get to the convention without the 1170 votes in their pockets, the wheeling and dealing begins to GET 1 guy with at least 1170. As soon as Romney got 1170 delgate votes. he won. Fair and sqare. And he passed that number weeks ago, therefore he beame the nominee for the Party at that time. God you're slow.
